I dropped by to look for a new gym to train at because I want to always continue learning and growing and I feel like it's my time to start a new adventure! I dropped by with some good friends of mine and let me say this. Coach Antonio and his wife were above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and when I say this gym literally has no ego, I mean it. Everybody is not only respectful and kind, but really REALLY good! Great environment for anybody to go and learn and have a good time. On top of all that, the place is very clean, hygienic and beautiful mat space and a cool gym in the back to lift weights. Appreciate everything guys! 11 out 10.

One of the most welcoming BJJ gyms I’ve ever visited. Coach Antione was friendly, professional and patient. I learned a ton in one class due to his great teaching and the help of his students. It’s hard to try something new and BJJ seems intimidating for a female, but I didn’t feel that here. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

After over 10 years of training Jiu-Jitsu around the world, I can confidently say The Academy of BJJ is something truly special. This place combines world-class instruction and hard training with a friendly, ego-free atmosphere that’s hard to find. Antonio (aka Honeybadger) is a high-level competitor with incredibly deep knowledge — especially in leg locks and guard work — but what really blew me away is how quickly he can break down your game and give you personal tips after just watching or rolling with you. That kind of individual coaching is super rare. Most instructors say, “Keep training,” but Antonio actually sees you and helps you level up quickly. He truly believes that everyone can reach their highest potential on and off the mat, and Jiu-Jitsu is his path to bring this out in you. The vibe here is amazing. People train hard but respectfully — no egos, just good energy and real growth. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you’ll find super-detailed, high-level instruction in every class. BJJ classes run daily, and there’s also a clean, fully equipped gym on-site, plus strength & conditioning sessions a few times a week. It’s also a great place for families. There’s a strong kids program, a kids’ playroom, and many parents (including the owners and myself) who train bring their kids, so you still get your time on the mats. I was honored to receive my black belt here in late 2024, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to train. This is the place if you’re looking for authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Las Vegas, especially in the Summerlin area. Come by to try classes. Doors are always open during open mat. Oss!

My 6 year old daughter just started BJJ a couple months ago and absolutely loves her time at The Academy. From day one the kids all made her feel welcome. The instructors are very skilled at meeting kids at their level while also holding them to a standard of discipline. It is definitely a family vibe when you walk into their facility and we’re grateful to have found them.

The Academy stands out as an incredible organization, offering a tightly knit environment alongside exceptional teaching and expertise. Jen, Moses, and the entire team embody excellence. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found their gym and mentorship for our daughter's jiu-jitsu journey. Jen's genuine care and dedication are unmatched, while Moses and the other coaches demonstrate top-tier professionalism. The sense of family within the organization is undeniable, and we're thrilled with the progress, encouragement, and discipline our daughter has gained. Approaching nearly a year with the team, our commitment remains steadfast—we're here to stay.
