Visiting Reno for work and I dropped in on the Friday afternoon session. The training facility was world class, the instruction was amazing, the students were all fun to train with, and it was clean. The environment was positive and team focused - there was no one there trying to win the world championship. Everyone was working together to get better. I highly recommend.

Got recommended go come out here for my AGF tour for Carson City, Komainu is filled with amazing grapplers! I think they are some of heaviest competitors in town! Their team promised to send out some guys to help support the tournament!

Was in town visiting family and needed a place to train, so I stopped in to Komainu. Everyone there was super friendly, and made me feel right at home. The instructors were excellent, and even though they knew I was only there for a couple days, still took the time to teach me and welcome me into their amazing gym. I don't live in Reno, but if I did, this is 100% where I would train.

Jerry and Alm the coaches here are above Par. Matt Tonkin is one of the most giving coaches I’ve known in this sport. You are in good hands with this team.

As a travel nurse I have trained at multiple schools across the country. From day one of my 10 month stay at Komainu I was taken in and treated as part of the family. It is my opinion that you will not find a better group of men and women anywhere, either on or off the mat. The instruction is second to none and it is apparent that these men do what they do for the love of Jiu jitsu and their students NOT simply to turn a profit. If want to train, they are the best you will find.
