Our kids have been doing jujitsu for a couple years now, but since starting with Renzo 5mo ago they have made their biggest advancements. We've sampled many gyms in the area and Renzo by far has the most competitive kids class plus you can go 5 days/week if you want. We love all the live rolling they get to do, the instruction is top notch, and the support at the tournaments is terrific. They've made friends, they have fun and their jujitsu grows. Win-win!

I started my jiu jitsu journey here. Max and his coaches have built a welcoming community for both newcomers and veterans of the sport. As someone who has visited multiple gyms throughout my career, I always find myself wanting to come back to Renzo's in Reno. It is one of the best gyms in the nation.

I’ve been training BJJ for 9 years and last month marked four years at Renzo’s. In that time, I’ve moved through many phases. From preparing for tournaments, healing from two major surgeries and finding my way back to competition. This gym has supported me through all of it. Because of the coaching here, my game has grown so much. I feel more technical, more patient and more confident on the mats. That growth shows in my results: • Spring 2022 (Sacramento): Gold Gi & Silver No-Gi — Grappling X • Spring 2025 (San Diego): Bronze No-Gi — Jiu Jitsu World League • Summer 2025 (Sacramento): Gold No-Gi — Grappling X After nearly two years away from competing, Max encouraged me to believe in myself again. I felt proud stepping back onto the mat and even more grateful for the results. The instruction is detailed, intentional and efficient. The culture is hardworking, safe and genuinely supportive. When I wasn’t competing, the friendships here kept me grounded and coming back. Renzo’s stands out because of the quality training, the people on the mats, and the environment that helps you grow as an athlete and as a person ❤️

When I walked in for a drop in for the first time here Coach Max was very welcoming. He gave great instruction and I can tell this was a first class BJJ gym. Very clean facility and very spacious. Can't wait to train here again!

Was looking for a place to train while staying in Reno for a contract job. Was welcomed by everyone from the start and just from one class I can tell im in the right place. Large mat space, engaging coaches and training partners. Look foward to learning here.
