I have been working out with Rob at Sierra Strength and Speed for the past 13 years. When I originally joined I was looking for a workout that combined strength, cardio training, and balance/flexibility. I have worked out all my life. I have struggled maintaining a well balanced routine. Early on I realized that I wasn’t good working out alone or at home…too many distractions. I have been a member of many gyms over the years. Rob and his trainers are terrific. They focus on functional training, proper form and a constantly changing workout sequence. I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. The group I work out with have become close friends. It is a wonderful community of people who expect me to show up and notice if I don’t. I highly recommend Sierra Strength and Speed and have introduced several of my friends to the gym. They are the best!

I have been working for over 1.5 years with Justin Bloos as my personal trainer. I started after I was still struggling with my left arm strength after my left clavicle ORIF. Not only have I gained back the function of the left side, but I am also seeing more definition in my muscles. I do have weight loss goals that I am progressing towards, but most noticeable is my fat loss with increased muscle mass. Some of the perks of going to this gym is that it is a non threatening environment for women. I like to do the one on one personal training because Justin is very knowledgeable about exercises to target my specific needs and goals. There is the option for small or larger groups as well. Since training, I have been able to go back to racing my mountain bike and completed a downhill recreation season!

I’ve been in personal training with Justin Bloos at Sierra Strength & Speed in Reno for a year and a half, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. My goal was simply to be the healthiest I can be, and the results speak for themselves: my strength has increased, my body composition has improved, and all my health metrics are great for my age (60s). Justin is meticulous about tracking progress. He has a great sense of humor and is fun to train with. He strikes the perfect balance of pushing me while being conscientious about avoiding injury. The gym itself is small and client-focused, without the heavy traffic of a big commercial gym. It's a great environment for a productive workout. If you are looking for results in a personal, focused gym, I highly recommend Justin Bloos and Sierra Strength & Speed!

The facility is very well equipped and has plenty of space. The environment is quiet and friendly and with personalized attention. You get the benefits of a professional training gym without the downsides of a "production line" type gym operated by a franchise or a faceless corporation. I am training with Justin Bloos for the last 4 years and I am very happy with the professional approach, knowledge and attention. A personal training program was developed by Justin to match my needs and goals and implemented and tracked with thoughtful adjustments along the years.

Sierra Strength and Speed is the best. I came to see Rob and his staff to continue my shoulder rehab from shoulder replacement surgery. I also needed to increase my overall strength. I had difficulty getting up from the floor, and my overall fitness required a total reset. Over the last ten months, my shoulder strength and fitness level have increased tremendously, and I can get up off the floor! Rob’s approach to functional training and proper form made a believer out of me. I highly recommend Sierra Strength and Speed.
