Amazing place to learn and train! I came here after training out of state for 1-2 years and was immediately welcomed. Great environment, friendly teammates, and exceptional instruction. You can see how much the owner Julio cares. Great place for all ages, including a guy like me who didn’t begin training until my late 30’s. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I have been practicing different martial arts for over half of my life and finding Momentum was one of the best parts of my journey to date. What started as a love for boxing, turned into mma which made me realize I needed to up my BJJ. I stepped into Momentum in November 2023 and haven’t looked back since, even after moving 30 minutes away. My kids love the Saturday class too. Peace to the lunch time crew and always a pat on the back for professor Julio. Osu.

today was my sons first day we did a parent and me class and the first half he was struggling with his confidence to participate the instructors were so patient and encouraging by the end of the class he did a whole turn around! my son cant wait for next class! 10/10 class had a work out myself loved it.

Switched to Momentum after moving to Rutherford so this is my 2nd gym in my 7+ years training. About a year in now and I'm very happy here. Great coaches, students and facility. Laid back atmosphere but the sport is taken seriously. Everybody is supportive of each other's progress and cautious of injuries which is great as an older grappler. Class is often the best part of my day.

I signed my daughter up for kid classes a few times during the week during the winter until her baseball season started. Although she enjoyed her time at Momentum and the instructors are extremely professional and attentive, their admin customer service side is horrible. After a few calls and emails I was finally able to cancel her membership. It started when I was charged 5 months all at once recently as I was unaware I was being charged for a membership not being used. I was under the assumption that it was a month to month contract (pay as you go) per the conversation I had with one of the instructors. Once my daughter started her baseball season she stopped attending her bjj classes as I did not want to be charged anymore for classes she would not be able to attend. In the past, I would have to physically log into their app to pay for the upcoming month. The last time she attended was April 2025. In September 2025 they charged me 5 months at $165 all at once. I never authorized automatic payments and I feel that was unprofessional on their part. In conclusion, I was refunded two months after calls and follow emails I never received a reply to. I don't think that was a fair exchange on their part.
