I’ve been trained in karate for about 10 years and it’s honestly been one of the most important parts of my life. Sensei Eddie is not just a great instructor but also someone who truly cares about his students and pushes us to be our best, both in karate and outside of it. Every achievement I've accomplished here has been through hard work. The dojo feels like a family, very supportive, welcoming, and always motivating. If you’re looking for a place to learn karate and grow as a person, this is the place.

Nisei-Shin Karate Do is awesome! I’ve been doing karate for 10 years and trained with Sensei Eddie Rodriguez for 7 of them. He’s super nice, really patient, and knows how to teach kids well. The dojo is really cool, and everyone there is friendly. I definitely recommend it!

Both of my kids have been training at Nisei-Shin Karate Do under Sensei Eddie Rodriguez for the past six years, and the experience has been outstanding. Sensei Eddie is an exceptional instructor who is knowledgeable, patient, and deeply committed to the success of his students. He always has their best interests at heart. The dojo is fairly priced and refreshingly straightforward, with no hidden fees or unnecessary add-ons that you often see at other schools. What truly sets this dojo apart is its authenticity and high standards. Sensei Eddie is part of a respected Shotokan karate lineage traced back to Japan, and it shows in his teachings. Promotions here are never automatic so every belt is earned through hard work, dedication, and true understanding of the art. Classes are well-structured, never overcrowded, and provide the right balance of discipline and encouragement. The dojo also has a close-knit, family-friendly atmosphere where both students and parents feel welcome. Special events and family gatherings throughout the year make the community even stronger. Students also have the opportunity to compete in tournaments, which adds excitement and valuable experience. Having visited several dojos over the years, I can honestly say this is one of the best. If you’re in the area and looking for a legitimate, family-oriented, and highly reputable dojo, I strongly recommend giving Nisei-Shin Karate Do a try.
