I've visited the Chinese Shaolin Center in Albuquerque (I'm from Raleigh) for a special Heart Will 12 Animal Sword form and had a great time. I've trained with the Master there on occasion, and he is a superior instructor. He has a fine school with some other students I love! I am visiting again soon for "White Snake Battles the Monk" form again taught by Elder Master David Soard, who is a wealth of knowledge! I'm always excited to visit any of his schools! Can't wait!

I had began my training around 2002, learned to memorize each style for each belt. They want you to succeed. Yet, it's up to you. Been low on funds. I do hope to be back. I would not go anywhere else.

Shaolin Kung Fu is a transformative practice that can greatly improve health and contribute to graceful aging. The positive impact it has had on my mental and physical well-being has been truly unexpected. I am constantly striving to push my limits and challenge myself, and I have emerged as a different person – one whom I deeply cherish. I am immensely grateful to Master Abram and Master Leslie for their guidance and support.

I trained here many years ago when I still lived in Albuquerque. I believe the master at the time was named Abram. I learned enough to reach yellow. The Tai chi forms taught on Wednesdays were the best. I really wish I kept practicing them. I learned the monk staff and nunchaku weapons and Tai chi stepping. Here's the funny thing. I don't use any of these techniques these days as I stopped training due to work and moving away. But I hope to get back to it if my daughter shows an interest. The Tai chi stepping technique is like muscle memory. I do it subconsciously when walking or running and my wife claims she sometimes can't hear me moving around the house so I often startle her when entering a room even though I ran up the stairs and felt like I was making noise. I feel bad because I wasn't trying to scare her, but she sometimes jumps when I start talking as I assume she heard me. She told me if I didn't make more noise I would have to wear a small bell around my neck. I assume at the higher levels you can hide your breathing and heartbeat like The Hand in Daredevil (why you would need this who knows, let's say for your physical health). This is a good school.
