Members consistently praise the gym's extensive equipment, clean facilities, and spacious layout that allows for comfortable workouts. Many highlight the welcoming staff, particularly noting instructor Ryan's spin classes that make beginners feel at ease. Reviewers appreciate the gym's reliability, staying open during holidays and bad weather, and mention the respectful member community. However, one member reported feeling unsafe due to harassment from a trainer and unwelcoming behavior from the owner, though this appears to be an isolated experience among overwhelmingly positive reviews.

I had a great time visiting this gym! I was in town from Virginia but if I lived here, I would join Grindhouse. My friend and I signed up for Ryan’s spin class and had so much fun! The playlist was so upbeat and I loved the Dirrty and Whitney Houston additions. Ryan was an amazing instructor and made me feel super comfortable even though it was my first spin class ever. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The locker rooms were clean but I couldn’t find a trash can in there to save my life. I didn’t use the gym equipment but it looked like it had all the bells and whistles. They also give you towels which a lot of gyms don’t offer anymore. Overall wonderful experience and hope to come back again.

Great gym and crowd. Really appreciate the fact that they’re open in all conditions (including holidays and snow days)! Appreciate the effort that takes by staff, and ensures I can always get my workout in. 💪

A+ gym. Very big, I can always find space to workout. Always clean. Tons of equipment. Members are all respectful and mostly return their equipment and don’t leave the gym a mess. For proper workouts I think this is the best gym in Williamsburg and the price is very good for the value.

Best gym you can find in the area. Amazing variety of equipment, all reasonably cared for. Also, the general vibe is great. But don’t sign up. The price is fair and I don’t want more members driving it up.

This is the gym to come to if you truly want to be harassed and feel unsafe working out, as a women. The owner constantly gives dirty looks that would make anyone working out uncomfortable. I was also aggressively confronted by a trainer (Danielle) and wrongly accused of “training” a friend, after my workout, even though I had trained on my own. After years of paying to come to this gym, it’s extremely disappointing to be treated and harassed this way.
