Highly recommend anyone who wants to try out kickboxing, want to be a part of a supportive community, release some strong emotions, be treated with care and respect, improve mental and physical health, establish a new routine, train your memory, and/ or meet some awesome people. I just finished my 100th class at Hit House, and it’s only been a couple of months. Yes, I go almost every day. On my way there right now. I’ve always wanted to try out kickboxing for years, but not know how to start, this was really perfect, the group sessions with individualized support as needed and wanted. This place is incredible, you can see that people like seeing each other, people enjoy being together. A diverse and beautiful community that even if you don’t know anyone, it feels like you know everyone. I love it so much. Adding a couple more notes: I have the early bird membership so I usually go in the morning before work. Perfect way to start the day, but the membership also works for the noon lunch class on weekdays so it’s good for flexibility. Gloves rental are included in the membership. There are showers and towels and body/face/hair products you can use to freshen up after class. Lockers and water fountains are also available. Truly recommend a try.

As someone who likes to diversify my fight training across different disciplines, I’ve had an amazing experience at Hit House. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and really know how to make you feel welcome no matter your skill level. The facility is spotless and well-maintained, and their signature bag—the Bishop—is one of a kind. It’s easily one of my favorite bags to train on anywhere in the city. Highly recommend for anyone looking to mix up their workouts and sharpen their striking technique.

Hit House is one of if not the best workout studio in NYC. I used to take the classes weekly when living in NY. I recently moved to Florida and I can't find anything similar to them. The Muay Thai Kickboxing on their special boxing bag made it so fun and awesome to learn on. It's not hard on your body and it's enjoyable to hit. Truly wish they'd move to Florida!

Had my first class with Tyler—early morning Saturday session so it was a smaller class. Tyler was very attentive and made sure my form was correct and didn’t hesitate to explain a strike/combo. Great total body workout, left me sore! Once I recovered :), I booked a class with Shanna— evening on a Tuesday, bigger class but she was just as attentive and encouraging. Her combos were killer and such great energy! Both classes and instructors were great, already planning for another! So happy to find a tough but engaging workout I look forward to!

I’ve been to gyms all over the city and consider myself an eclectic athlete, Hit House opened up a whole new world for me. The workout is unique, they have patented bags and experienced but kind instructors to make the art of 8 limbs accessible to anyone. The gym itself is sleek and clean, with towels, water station, showers with soap (not just the discount kind, but actual nice stuff for hair, body and face), so it’s easy to go after or before work and do your routine. They sell kick boxing gloves at a reasonable price and they are quality material. You will sweat your butt off but feel strong mentally and physically afterwards. Lastly, the owners are a lovely couple so it feels great to support a local business. Couldn’t recommend more!
