My training partners always recommended this school for their great atmosphere, super knowledgeable staff and students and Saturday open mats. I was lucky enough to make it to their first women’s open mat and it was an awesome time! The ladies running the event did so in such an organized way, set ground rules so everyone at every level felt comfortable, and even had some raffles! But outside of this event, the students and staff here were all extremely welcoming, very good at jiu jitsu and it was an overall 20/10 experience. I can’t wait to come back and train again with these amazing people!

Been training at Masterskya’s for years now. The space is friendly for all levels of practitioners, day 1 and beyond. There’s plenty of options for classes and variations of sessions that help improve your game. The environment is unlike any gym I’ve attended. The staff and instructors are very supportive, hands on, and expert in how they support their students, whether they are competing or not. If you’re in NYC, don’t miss out training at Masterskya’s, the gem of Canal street.
