Moy Yee Kung Fu is the real deal! I live in Flatbush, Brooklyn and wanted to find a place to learn and train that wasn't fluff and I lucked out finding MYKF. Sifu Henry Moy is a Grandmaster and imparts knowledge in the Ip Man lineage with patient guidance and detailed, disciplined structure. I've been exposed to a much bigger world of martial arts, including T'ai Chi and Shaolin, which has enriched me immensely. You absolutely get more out of it than you put in. I was also surprised with the community it has provided me which has changed my life in the most positive way. It is truly a treasure. It is my honor to train here.

I have always wanted to learn kung fu as a child but never got the opportunity until 4 yrs ago when I walked by Moy Yee Kung Fu in my neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Learning Wing chun, Taichi, and the use of multiple weapons from Sifu Henry Moy have changed my life. I'm challenged mentally and physically every week and have gained a wealth of knowledge that will last me a life time. Sifu's teachings directly passed down from Ip Man's lineage, the variety of kung fu styles taught, and the strong bonds I have formed with the friendly community are the reasons I train here. It is the best martial arts school near me!

This place is the real deal. Rich with traditional kung fu fundamentals and practices. The Grandmaster is great and very approachable and the students are wonderful to train with. Between Tai Chi and Wing Chun Kung Fu there is so much to learn at Moy Yee Kung Fu. Grandmaster Henry Moy is so knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge with students who are serious about their training. You definitely get out what you put in.

I first joined Moy Yee Kung Fu two years ago after a long time passing by the school over the years going from Bay Ridge to and from work in the Brooklyn Navy yard. I finally gave in to my curiosity and made an appointment to meet with Sifu and spent over an hour talking and listening to stories about Sifu’s Wing Chun lineage, his extensive training with many different grandmasters in various form of kung fu and tai chi, and about his philosophy on martial arts and how he runs his school. Sifu is a third generation disciple of Ip Man, having studied under Moy Yat for many years. After our talk I began Wing Chun classes and found myself hooked. The teachers and other students were all warm and welcoming, while still managing to strike the right balance of discipline and strong work ethic. Learning under the guidance of Sifu’s wealth of traditional knowledge has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. Not only has my physical condition improved greatly, but the spiritual and mental rewards of having a second home and family of like minded people dedicated to learning and practicing kung fu has been a great benefit to me. Once you start you won’t want to stop; the desire to learn more from Sifu and train more takes over naturally as you see the ever evolving path of self improvement unfolding in front of you. Sifu has created what has to be one of the best traditional martial arts schools in Brooklyn. His knowledge and expertise are second to none, and he welcomes everyone into his world with open arms. Anyone living in the area and even remotely interested in martial arts, Wing Chun, or Tai Chi would be losing a great opportunity if they don’t make an appointment to come to the school to talk to Sifu and see what it’s all about.

I had long been curious about Kung Fu and had come across this school online years ago. I finally was inspired to drop by the school. I have a background in martial arts, from a long time ago, but it has been a while since I trained. I wanted to make sure the school and culture was legit and not a "black belt factory" when I went to see the school. I wanted something that embodied the old school mentality of when I had learned (back when people were tough and trained hard). So far the school has surpassed my expectations. The Wing Chun system is completely different than my previous training, but that also makes it exciting. People here are warm and patient but also have the strong martial arts ethic that makes you a better person to overcome the difficulties of life, especially when many people today in society seek at all costs the road of comfort and ease. I am fortunate to have found this school!
