I took classes at Oishi judo couple years ago.. I enjoyed the training and the atmosphere with the sensei. All the Kodokan throws were on the wall and Newaza techniques. I had met great people and I felt welcomed in the dojo. I would recommend anyone to take classes from beginner to advanced if you are looking for the original judo from Japan and also be in a great and unique atmosphere.

We were on holidays in New York and we brought our Judo gear to train in one of the clubs, the high recommendation and reviews brought us here, it was well worth the trip! To see such a successful club and such huge respect for Sensei 🥋.. Brilliant club, great coach and great members, everyone gets along very well 👌🏻.. very clean and great atmosphere on the senior class.. Visitors fee is $35 per adult, if you are traveling from abroad, bring your home judo associations license

This place is the real deal. Patient, well informed instruction. The Sensei and his assistant instructors are knowledgeable about the subtleties of judo that other dojos are not even aware of. The instruction here is on a completely different high level.

I have practiced Judo many years and in a few countries, including Japan. You will not find a Dojo like this anywhere. There is a non-competotove culture of friendliness, respect, mutual well being here. Oishi Sensei has truly made Judo accessible to those who have tge desire to learn. If you are lucky- you might also get some the best tea in New York City.

Took some classes here back in the summer of 2016. As a total beginner, I didn't expect to receive the level of support and instruction and patience that I received from a world-class judoka the day I randomly showed up and signed up for a class. Sensei Oishi was both generous with his attention and extremely patient as an instructor. Though I was only able to take a few classes, I will remember this place as one of, if not the most legit dojos I've ever been a part of, for any martial art. I highly recommend you give it a try.
