I joined two weeks ago, and the high level of instruction as well as the really good training and rolling has kept me coming back. Moreover, this is not just a gym. It is a community, and you really feel the camaraderie and warmth of the training environment every time you step through those doors. Coach RC has developed an incredible training environment here, strongly recommend!

Being brand new to Jiu Jitsu, I didn’t know what to expect but any nervousness went away immediately upon arriving thanks to a warm welcome by the staff. RC is a great coach - relaxed, friendly, informative, and patient. He breaks moves down into small parts and walks through them multiple times so you can understand the mechanics before trying them out. Safety is a primary concern for the staff, so you are free to relax and enjoy the training knowing you won’t be injured. The other members are great too; there’s a real feeling of community with the more experienced members happy to show you moves and give tips. I can’t recommend the class and RC more highly.

They’re not only experts in jiu jitsu but are also skilled, intentional teachers who break down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps for students of all ages and experience levels. Their guidance and the structure of classes make steady, week-to-week improvement feel achievable. The community here is supportive and genuinely welcoming. I’d highly recommend this gym to anyone, especially other beginners looking to try something new.

I started taking classes for beginners ( before the actual beginners) in August where you learn the basics of BJJ. I have no training barely work out and just wanted to try something outrageously new. I can honestly say this has been one of the best experiences for me, I’ve learned so much from coach RC and the people who started with me. I really enjoy showing up every Friday to learn and get better. I also went to the beginners Tuesday class and everyone was so helpful. I love that they offer classes for all ages and I enjoy watching the kids train, while the coaches push them to be their best selves. If you are ever in Flatbush you should definitely check them out!

Very good BJJ school. The instruction is very technical and the instructors are knowledgeable. I have been training over ten years and enjoy going to learn the more progressive techniques. The coaches make sure we get good rolls and are respectful of students.
