Everyone here is so friendly, understanding, and welcoming. Walid is honestly the best coach ever. He’s very patient, kind, and explains everything so clearly. He works hard to create a positive environment and is always attentive, making sure you get a solid workout. The rest of the staff are just as supportive. Don’t be afraid to start working out here, they go out of their way to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. They’ll never pair you with someone way more advanced if you're just starting in Muay Thai. I really feel they do a great job of identifying your level and matching you with partners at a similar skill level. And even if you do train with someone more advanced, everyone is super understanding and respectful, they won’t go hard on you. Also, the owner, which I don’t remember his name, is super nice, always smiling and greeting everyone. He’s very approachable and down to earth. I highly recommend this gym. I’ve tried several Muay Thai locations in Manhattan and Queens, and this one is by far the best.

Sitan Gym is top notch!!! The kids class run by Coach Kat goes beyond my expectations!!! All the Coaches treat the kids like family and the kids love the coaches like family!!! The class is mixed leveled but the kids are all separated in age groups and trained to their levels. Class is always 3-4 coaches at a time so the kids get a lot of personal care. I can’t recommend Sitan Gym enough!!! Sitan is a real deal Muay Thai gym in the heart of Queens!!

The kids class lead by Coach Katerina is amazing. She engages the students and meets them at their level. The skill level of the students is mixed and she does a wonderful job ensuring every child is working to their fullest potential. This class is fun for the kids while focusing on Muay Thai style, technique, and proper form. My daughter loves attending class and has improved with the support of the amazing coaches at Sitan.

Sitan gym is located up in Astoria and is a great Muay Thai spot near Long Island City. It's been open for over twenty years and the experience of the staff really shows. Head instructor Aziz Nabih is a long time resident of New York City and has a storied amount of experience behind him. He has spent a lot of time in Dutch style kickboxing and is also connected with Sitsongpeenong in Thailand. Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, the multiple Kickboxing and Muay Thai champion trains out of Sitan when he comes to America and Nabih has helped him with his boxing. Nabih's students including Eddie Cuello, Thiago Azeredo and Rami Ibrahim have all gone on to open solid schools in Long Island, Arizona, and Philadelphia. Nabih also has a large current fight team including Jessica Ng who is slated to fight in the 2018 Pan American games. He's also served as a coach on the USMF (United States Muay Thai Federation) which is pushing Muay Thai into the Olympics. The gym itself is small but has dedicated trainers and people. Under Nabih's guidance this spot is a diamond in the rough.
