Whether you’re stepping into a gym for the first time or you’re a seasoned fighter, this place delivers. Deshi has created something special — the energy here is electric, the community is welcoming, and every class purposeful. Deshi himself is a multi discipline champ, but he’s also one of the most grounded and encouraging coaches you’ll ever meet. He knows how to push you, but always in a way that builds you up. You’ll learn proper technique, build real confidence, and feel part of something bigger. Highly recommend — fitness, self-defense, or pro fighting, this gym has you covered.

Incredible people! The instruction is top notch and I felt welcome the second I entered. Was greeted with respect by the head instructor Diego and Sensei John. Would recommend if you are looking to learn a new skill and want to get in shape!

I had an amazing experience training at Striking 101 Brooklyn! The gym has a great energy and is very welcoming for both beginners and experienced fighters. Diego is an incredible trainer—he’s patient, motivating, and really knows how to break things down so you can improve fast. His striking techniques are top-notch, and he makes every session fun yet challenging. If you’re in Brooklyn and looking for a place to learn proper striking, build confidence, and get in shape, I highly recommend training with Diego at Striking 101!

Striking 101 is an incredibly welcoming & intensive gym for all levels. I was lucky enough to join my friend who already is a active member of the gym as a guest. I was visiting from Virginia and was immediately welcomed by the instructor and other members of the gym. The class felt structured and challenging giving a seasoned fighter more knowledge/skills while also tending to beginners (like me) while being meticulously instructed by an active and champion fighter in Diego. To keep this short, I highly recommend Striking 101 to anyone interested in a Martial Arts school.

I’m truly grateful to have found this dojo. From the very first day I walked in just to ask a few questions, Sensei took the time to speak with me, and after only a few minutes of conversation, he encouraged me to start training—and I came back the very next day. Thank you, Sensei Jonathan. I’ve been living with chronic depression for a long time, and training here has become a meaningful part of my healing and motivation! I’m also deeply thankful to my trainer, who is always patient and motivates me every day to give my best. Thank you Deshi! And to all the other students—who feel more like additional coaches—thank you for guiding me and going at my pace as a beginner. I truly appreciate it.
