We love it here. My kids enjoy the class, learning new techniques and being confident in life. What makes this gym different is the people. Fred and his team are fantastic and can get through to the kids. We love their structure -4 days a week. Consistency.

Trust! There's no extra fees for belts. No moving to the back of the class if you don't compete. There's no favoritism, pure honesty and transparency. The coaches are amazing and focus. The parents work together and are like family. The kids learn about discipline, dedication, work ethics and focus. Number one in forest hills.

Una BJJ’s team of instructors are incredibly professional and detail-oriented, but at the same time approachable, friendly and just genuinely enjoyable to train with. That combination and balance made every class a joyful and safe experience, especially for beginners. As someone who was new to the sport, I realized quickly this was the right gym for me and I looked forward to every class. All the instructors and regulars to the classes are eager to help and tailor the lessons to your ability. Fred’s deep knowledge of the sport, and natural ability to connect with people really made my beginner experience and many others advantageous and worthwhile. I highly recommend Una BJJ if you are interested in learning more about Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

This place is really awesome. Really high level professors and instructors and everyone, especially the higher belts are really cool and helpful so you can make improvements. On top of that everyone who competes bring back medals every time, so that tells the caliber of Jiu Jitsu players you’ll be training with and learning from. Totally recommended!

I’ve been training at Una BJJ for years, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The school has a great atmosphere — there’s a real sense of camaraderie here that you don’t find everywhere. The owners are awesome people who genuinely care about the students and the environment they’ve created. Everyone is welcoming, respectful, and pretty cool overall. Whether you’re new to BJJ or have been training for a while, this is a great place to learn, get better, and be part of a solid community.
