I can’t say enough great things about this studio, the teachers, or the classes. Everyone here is so kind, respectful, skilled, strong, disciplined and enjoyable to be around. They’ve mastered the delicate balance of fun and learning. Every week I look forward to coming here with my kids. We always leave better off than when we came and I’m so proud of the positive changes I continue to see in my kids thanks to Master T and all the other trainers here at Central Park Taekwondo.

The curriculum at the Central Park Taekwondo school (VS most after school type of programs) makes all the difference in acquiring the discipline, lifelong physical skills, an indomitable spirit and mindset of perseverance for life (goals we set, goals we get). The classes are led by renown instructors and masters that commit to track the progress of each student to ensure measurable results. Children and adults work hard with such an amazingly clean, fun and respectful environment. For having joined the school a decade ago I highly recommend CPTKD to any individual or family living in NYS. The 2 hours of NYC commute each time to the dojan was way worth it!! The real Mc Coy. My kids have been attending regularly since aprox 2 years ago. At the beginning They were quite reserved but after going to Central Park Taekwondo, they are noticeably more confident on themselves. At Central Park Taekwondo, they teach kids more than just the sport but a life philosophy of endurance, perseverance, strength, commitment, etc. Masters are friendly but professional. The staff is so friendly. The facility is beyond clean! I strongly recommend Central Park Taekwondo.

My boys have been attending CPTKD for 5 years now and they absolutely love it! The Masters and staff are great with kids, encouraging, supportive and friendly. The staff always helpful! The founder, Master Teresa, is a 5th degree black belt and wanted to create an environment for her 3 kids to learn the art of taekwondo. CPTKD has grown to a wonderful community where families can learn taekwondo together. And they continue to evolve for their members, from creating new classes like grappling to Latin dance to Women's empowerment. I recently asked my son which activities he wants to keep for this fall and he said "CPTKD, because I feel at home there".

We love Central Park Taekwondo and recommend it to everyone we know! Mr Richard is amazing and one of our daughter's favorite teachers inside and outside of school. Mr Richard is excellent at breaking down the movements for our daughter to learn. He makes every class engaging and whatever our daughter is interested in Mr Richard is an expert, be it aquatic sea life (he worked in an aquarium) or dinosaurs (he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Jurassic through Cretaceous periods). Mr Richard really gets kids and deserves a medal or perhaps even a statue! Master Teresa (the owner) is very thoughtful and welcoming and wrote us a beautiful email when we first considered attending CPTKD. She sets the tone for the whole gym and the engagement with its members goes beyond learning a martial art. Central Park Taekwondo is a community and we feel privileged to be part of it.
