I couldn't say more positive things about you guys. Best wrestling school out there. As an adult and a girl who just wanted to learn the sport, no other place felt like home so quick. Everyone is extremely friendly & helpful. The can't count the amount of times I asked the same questions & every time, each coach took the time to explain the same thing over and over until I got it & never with a bad attitude. Aside from each amazing coach, the vibe there is incredible. I always have fun & look forward to the classes. I love that there is so much diversity at the gym, high school students, college students, girls, and people in their 30s, 40s, 50s or even older that just want to learn. Everyone is welcomed & you feel that right away. You guys are honestly all around incredible, you never feel out of place. From coaches to all the members, you guys are #1

This is a wonderful wrestling school. I have nothing but great things to say about Elmer and the rest of the coaches at Edge. They do a terrific job of running the youth wrestling program. They have a truly long term perspective on making the program as retainable and fun for kids as possible - while still making sure they are learning. If you are thinking about enrolling your kid in a youth wrestling program, this is where you want to be.

I came into Edge Hoboken over 4 years ago in the adult wrestling program. I was a fresh newbie with less than 9 months of BJJ experience and 1 season of wrestling experience in my sophomore year of high school. From the very first day I came into edge I my level of wrestling was that of a middle schooler at best. The difference between then and now is night and day. I not only had the opportunity to train with extremely knowledgeable professional MMA fighters, world champ BJJ fighters, College level wrestlers, but I also experienced some of it not the best coaching experiences through edge. The coaches are able to truly understand what each individual athlete needs and base their approach on that. I had a lot of doubt and lack of self confidence, and not only did the coaches at edge see that, but they were able to coach me in a manner that helped me to build my self confidence while also becoming a better wrestler/grappler with each practice. I still go to edge to this day and still continue to learn each day. I’ve met one of my closest friends at edge and I cannot recommend Edge enough to anyone looking to improve or learn wrestling from all walks of life and backgrounds. If you want to train wrestling, if you want place that provides a ripe and encouraging positive environment for learning the sport, Edge Hoboken is the place to be.

I’m so glad to have my son in the wrestling program at the Edge. The coaches create a supportive environment, teach respectful behavior, and encourage community building. The fact that it’s well known for producing top athletes is a bonus. Thank you Elmer and all the coaching staff!

Great coaches and you’ll always find great training partners at Edge. Whether you’ve been wrestling for years or just starting out, Edge will improve your skills. They offer many classes during the week (BJJ for wrestlers, folkstyle, freestyle, Greco) which is convenient for busy individuals like myself. I’ve trained BJJ for years (currently a blue belt from a Renzo Gracie academy) and I love it, but now I almost exclusively wrestle at Edge. My only regret is that I didn’t start training sooner. Stop by and talk to the coaches and you’ll see why Edge deserves 5 stars.
