About

NY Best Kickboxing offers training in MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing within a traditional martial arts environment. The gym provides a balanced approach with classes ranging from fitness-focused workouts to technical skill development and safe contact training. While the facility is described as small and not particularly fancy, this intimacy allows for personalized attention from instructors who are praised for their professionalism and helpfulness, especially with beginners. Members appreciate that progress is earned through genuine effort rather than quick promotions, creating an authentic learning atmosphere.

I started with a Groupon voucher to take kickboxing classes to add some form of cardio to my lifting routines once a week, and now, a year later, I am practicing all 3 of their disciplines and going more there than to the gym. I never thought that one could learn martial arts after a certain age, but surprise, you can. I am in awe of my journey, progress, and improvements thanks to the instructors. FYI, the gym is not some kind of futuristic spaceship; it is a pretty traditional-looking place, according to the traditional martial arts teachings. If you go with the right mindset and pay attention to the class, you will see progress.

I loved the classes at NY Best Kickboxing during my four months-stay in the city. They offered a perfect balance of cardio/strength training and technical classes to improve your kickboxing skills. Thanks to the instructors and the group for creating such a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. Will definitely be back on my next visit to NYC

I’ve been training here for almost 3 years—San-Da kickboxing from the start and Kung Fu for the past 2 years—and it’s been an incredible journey. The gym may be small, but that’s a plus; you’re not lost in a crowd, and the instructors give you real attention. Classes range from fitness-focused to contact training (don’t worry, it’s safe and respectful). You won’t be handed a black belt in a couple of months here—everything is earned through real effort and growth. It’s a great place for anyone serious about learning martial arts in a supportive, down-to-earth environment.

I have been a member here for years and I continue to love the gym, the workout and the people. Never thought I would do any exercise consistently this long, but not only did I see results, the classes remained quite fun! The place is just awesome, everyone friendly, a good sense of humor, quite a sweat. Advice to anyone reading this, buy the groupon, it's a better deal than the web special. And they will give you a better start up offer if you start with a groupon. They are open 7 days a week but they do book up pretty quickly, a few friends had to wait a week for their first sessions. Do not be intimidated, the staff is cool and very pro

I am writing a review because my experience here is so very different than some of the rather strange things I have seen written. I come to the gym via classpass and always have a great experience. It is NOT a very fancy place, it is a small martial arts school. But the classes are a great workout and I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. They are especially helpful with beginners. I had only taken a few kickboxing classes at a gym that is no longer around, but I was very welcome and they helped me. I have been there about five times now, always have a great time.
