I have known Soke Ferrell since the early 1990’s. He is always honest, patient, and kind. He is willing to take time to explain techniques and the purpose behind them. His approachable and calm demeanor makes any interaction with him instructive and beneficial. In my opinion he is the best martial arts instructor in our area as well as a truly great guy and trusted friend.

Highly recommend this dojo and Ray Ferrell's training. He is a five-star instructor and owner of this well respected and oldest dojo in Charlotte. I had the privilege to participate in a number of classes including Tai chi and a self-defense workshop which I attended with my teenage daughters. We all left feeling empowered. I have the highest regard for Ray Ferrell.

They create a wonderful environment for learning and growing! Never having done any martial arts training, I started at age 40 after starting my son at this school. You’re never too old to start! Ray Ferrell is an excellent teacher, Tai Chi instructor and concealed handgun instructor. It is rare these days to get a master so committed to teaching and training in a way that is understood and accessible. The learning curve is attainable and progress forward is evident. More than highly recommended.
