Was rolling through town on business and stopped by to train here. The head instructor is amazing and the members are all very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend training here.

Tried a few different places in town before committing to GB Charlotte. Knowledgeable instructor and fun group of students were key to my decision! Even though I was completely new to BJJ when I started, I was always welcomed and had a great time. Another great benefit of GB is that you can train in any GB location across the globe (I have trained during some trips and the process was straightforward).

I was able to attend a few classes while traveling for work at GB Charlotte. They had a great group of folks that were welcoming and fun to train with. The facility was also very nice and well kept! I would recommend GB Charlotte to anyone looking to train BJJ in the area. I look forward to training with them again!

Thea and Diogo provide an all around positive experience for anyone looking to start practicing Jujitsu. Gracie Barra Charlotte creates an extremely welcoming atmosphere, regardless of your skill level. Diogo is a fantastic teacher, looking to see growth in his students. The facilities are extremely clean and well kept, and the other students are helpful in training with new students. There are multiple class offerings throughout the week to accommodate most schedules. Whether you want to take your first martial arts class, or you've been training Jujitsu for years, you can't go wrong with Gracie Barra Charlotte.

I’ve visited Gracie Barra facilities across the U.S.—multiple cities in Arizona, Texas, Florida, and California. I travel frequently for work and always enjoy checking out local Gracie Barra locations. Sometimes I bring my gi and belt; other times, I rent one at the daily rate. That said, I’ve never had trouble getting in touch with a Gracie Barra location—until now. I called the Charlotte location’s number listed on both Google and their website at least 6–7 times before arriving in town. I also texted, as their voicemail instructs. I was in the area for five days and received zero response. Fortunately, I found another academy that welcomed me in without hesitation, and I trained there instead. I hope this lack of communication isn’t standard practice for this location, because it’s not what I’ve come to expect from Gracie Barra.
