Sensei Boudreau is a deeply kind and thoughtful teacher. The culture of respect in this dojo is notable. Sensei skillfully connects the philosophy of Budo into the rigorous physical training that takes place here. The focus on self development that accompanies the self defense aspects of this school encourages the student to grow not only in strength, but also in wisdom and compassion. I would highly suggest this dojo if you are interested in learning a holistic approach to martial arts that trains the mind, body, and spirit.

The teacher is excellent, he truly cares about his students. He teaches good techniques and character/confidence building values.

This is the best martial arts school I have ever seen. The owner of the business has a great command of the art of dialogue, as well as what he teaches his students. The school itself also has excellent relationships between people. For example, my son has been going there for over a year to study. He learns much more there than just the ability to confidently communicate with people. Since the physical development of a child gives the child the most important thing - self-confidence and communication with peers. A child can get all this in this school. I would rank this school in Importance and Benefit for a child's development Above compulsory city schools. Many thanks to the teacher of this school for being a Teacher for so many people these days.

I have been a student here since late 2005 and have learned a lot of techniques. I have also learned about myself. I continue to learn from Boudreau Sensei, weekly. I had one of my daughters study here and have also had my grandchildren study here. Today, I live out by Camp Lejeune and make every effort to get back to Shelby to study with Boudreau Sensei, and practice with the other students at the dojo.

It's a great educational place to learn self defence , confidence building, self control and awareness.
