I came all the way from Brazil to visit and attend the grand opening of this amazing place, and it was an unforgettable experience! They teach authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with such dedication, showing true commitment to each student on the mat and beyond. I could see the patience, kindness and respect that teachers show to students, especially with students who have special needs, like autism, ADHD and etc. Making everyone feel valued and empowered for life.

I would not recommend this place if you have a child who is curious about trying out BJJ. When my 9 year old asked about trying it, I figured I’d let him see if he liked it. When they finally got back to me, I brought him in for a tour of the place and a mini session to gauge his abilities. When signing him up, it was recommended to me that I sign him up for the monthly class, just in case if he loses interest, as long as I notify them before the next month starts, I could cancel his membership. ($160 per month). After a few classes, I noticed my son was not as engaged with the program as I hoped he would be. I brought my wife in to see if she noticed, but the instructor decided to play soccer with the kids that day, instead of instructing them on BJJ. My wife was taken back from this, being we were spending a lot of money for him to learn BJJ, not play soccer. So about 6 days before the new month starts, I call TAP to let them know my son no longer wishes to pursue BJJ. No one answers (of course). I receive an automated text message from them, in which I state my son no longer wants to participate, and to cancel my payments going forward. They text back stating they understand, and to email Professor Abbi, which I did, with no further response. They charge me for the next month. When I call, they tell me they needed 30 days notice of cancellation, which was never stated by the front desk. That also means that when I signed up my son, I should have pretty much cancelled right away for the next month! Makes zero sense. So they now are keeping my $160 for a month my son will not be there. Like I said, if your child is interested in trying BJJ, be weary of this shady operation. Thieves at best. I reached out to TAP, they never called me back to “resolve” the issue…
