ATA has been an absolutely amazing experience for my son! He started the program at age 4 and has now been enrolled for two years, and the growth we’ve seen in him has been incredible. Mr. Gonzalez and Mrs. Fernanda are truly one of a kind — patient, encouraging, and deeply committed to their students. They have helped my son build confidence, discipline, and respect for others in such a positive and supportive environment. I am beyond grateful that he is part of this wonderful community. We’ve had an absolutely wonderful experience with Winners for Life Huntersville. From day one, the instructors and staff were incredibly welcoming and supportive, especially during my son’s transition from a more traditional karate program. They took the time to truly understand his background and made the transition seamless by allowing him to keep his current belt rank, which meant so much to his confidence. At the same time, they were patient and intentional in helping him learn proper taekwondo techniques, ensuring he was set up for success without feeling overwhelmed or out of place. The environment is positive, encouraging, and very student-focused. It’s clear they care not just about martial arts skills, but about each child as an individual. We’re so grateful to have found such a thoughtful and professional program and highly recommend Winners for Life Huntersville to any family looking for a great martial arts school.

I had no idea that taekwondo would teach my 7 year old son so much about life skills (like respect and discipline). I am so thankful for Mr. Gonzalez and his immense patience and kindness he has for all students. How lucky are we to have found Winners for Life!

If you’re wondering how to build your child’s confidence and shape a well rounded person- ATA is the way to go. I have never seen teachers, instructors, or any early childhood professionals with such an impressive ability to connect with children of all ages. The staff at ATA Huntersville move me to my core with how authentically they interact with my little human. While other parents threaten to call Santa or The Paw Patrol for unwanted behavior I simply remind my daughter that Mr. Gonzales would be disappointed with how she’s behaving and the response is instant. Respect for authority, for fellow humans, for ourselves, and for property is the driving force of this establishment and when you lead with that- learning and growing naturally come after. I don’t know if I’m raising a future mixed martial artist but I know that with the help of ATA Huntersville I’m raising a disciplined, respectful, hardworking and fearless future woman. Thank you to the staff who so clearly invest deeply into these kids growth!
