Newly renovated and painted, this recreation center has nice meeting rooms, decent sized weight room, boxing, and a nice basketball court with track around it. On-duty staff are always friendly.

Blackburn Community Center is one of the many community centers in Columbus that are closed on Sundays and on Mondays. I attended a meeting yesterday [3-25-2019] that had been sponsored by the Age-Friendly Columbus program that uses office space in that building to coordinate neighborhood outreach and engagement. The building had been locked [because yesterday had been a Monday] so Age-Friendly Columbus staff people had had to let us into the building. After an extended conversation about accessibility needs related to pedestrians safely using sidewalks and safely crossing streets, we did a brief "walk audit" in the immediate neighborhood to check the quality of the sidewalks and the curb ramps.
