Seireikai Karate: Padrón Dojo

The instructors at Padron Dojo are absolutely wonderful. They make learning martial arts fun and engaging. When my son was frustrated and ready to give up on karate, Shihan Leo Padron exhibited exceptional patience and slowed everything down, ensuring we were all comfortable with each basic move before moving to the next. He did so in a way such that the whole family had fun and left feeling excited for a summer, perhaps a lifetime, full of lessons. Sensei Armondo Washington has been equally encouraging and patient. When I showed up for my first kickboxing/self defense class, I was excited but also nervous. Learning martial arts has been a dream of mine for ages, but I always felt too intimidated, like I wasn't strong enough. Sensei Armondo met me at my level and taught me, not only the basic kickboxing moves, but also what exercises to do to build my strength. He pushes me to be better and do my best, and always in a positive, encouraging way. I've made great strides, and I'm looking forward continuing to grow in strength, confidence and skill.

Shihan Padron has more real life fighting experience than any other man I've ever met, and he also has an extensive amount of traditional dojo experience as well. His passion for the art is something I've never seen anywhere else. If you are looking for self defense, believe me when I say his brand of Karate is formidable, but more importantly, Karate will give you the tools to win battles far outside the arena of fighting. I could have been a better student, but when I had problems later in life Karate was still there for me. Even today because of what Karate did for my spirit there is no obstacle I can't overcome. Shihan Padron has dedicated his life to Karate, and is an excellent mentor for someone from any walk of life.

My experience at USA Seireikai Kyokushin Karate so far has been very positive and educational. Shihan brings his wealth of knowledge and experience at every session I have attended. I would recommend his Dojo to anyone who is interested in learning his system of Karate.

Westgate Park is a hidden gem by itself. Finding the Seireikai Karate classes offered at the park rec center for my nephew has been a wonderful experience! The instructors and everyone I have dealt with, including the front desk/reception workers, are amazing!
