Short North Muay Thai
About
Short North Muay Thai offers training in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, and kickboxing under the guidance of a highly experienced coaching team. Founder and head instructor Kru Hope is a world-ranked competitor who trained under Master Lek, while other instructors like Jackie Bean, Jen Noland, and Evangelia Fragoulis bring winning fight records and tournament victories. The gym emphasizes a structured approach, requiring a beginner series for newcomers to learn safety, respect, and gym etiquette before joining regular classes. This foundational training ensures all members, whether training for fitness or competition, start with proper technique and understanding of the martial art.

Great community and environment. Highly recommend Short North. They have different classes to suit various levels and needs. No ego. Just humility and support. Def one of the best Muay Thai gyms I’ve been to. Wish I had more time in Columbus. Special shoutout to Kru, Ziggy, Lauren, Chassidy and Wes. Thank you for the warm welcome.

This is more than just a training gym it is a community that encourages people to better themselves through the art of Muay Thai. It is not a walk in gym, there is a beginner series to complete before you before you can enroll into regular classes. The beginner series is for people new to martial arts or just new to the gym. It prepares people for safety when training, respect of the martial art and gym etiquette. We have people that train for exercise and for fights.

Amazing place for anyone interested in a fun workout, learning a new skill/ art form, or getting in the ring to fight. All levels of students work together to get better than yesterday, regardless of their skill or personal goals. The community here is welcoming and supportive, full of respect and humility. No one who goes here more than a year is left unchanged- physically, spiritually, emotionally. There is no Muay Thai gym like this one.

I enjoyed my time training here at this gym. Would highly recommend this gym for muay thai training. They do a very nice warm up in the beginning to get you loose for class. I only did the beginners course and I will say that it was worth it. Very traditional gym. Would love to come back in to train with this team again in the future if they will have me. I'm currently training at a different gym and this was a great introduction to the sport. Thank you guys for having me.
