The Technician Dojo

My sister, daughter and I attended our first ever self defense class. What a great experience! The instructor, Steve did an amazing job explaining the techniques and showing us how to effectively conquer each task. Practice makes perfect. We will be coming back!

I contacted Mr Hatfield because my daughter had been getting bullied by several kids at her school. He explained right there what his dojo was and what it wasn't. He didn't try to sell me a gimmick to get me to enroll my child there, he was totally straight forward (I appreciate that). We scheduled a day to tour his dojo, almost as soon as I got there he took me outside to talk about what has been going on with my daughter. You can definitely tell he is passionate about what he's doing. He even showed my daughter a couple moves they could do to defend themselves, which he did not have to do. Both my daughters and I were extremely impressed. My one daughter will be starting tomorrow night. The other is working on graduating high school this year so she may start at a later time but she's Def interested. He helped me through registration process... some schools we have looked at have only cared about money and tournaments and not actually having a compassion for teaching. And his classes are diverse, there's young and older people alike. We are looking forward to this next chapter. Thank you!

This place has truly been a Godsend for my son. The level of dedication and seriousness they bring to the art is unmatched, and it’s inspired my son to rise to that same level of commitment. The trainer-to-student ratio is excellent, allowing him to receive focused, individualized attention that has helped him grow tremendously. The owner, Steve, is exceptionally kind, honest, and professional. His leadership sets the tone for the entire program. Because of the outstanding experience my son has had, I’m now excited to enroll my daughter as well. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to join the art. We absolutely love it here and fully intend to remain part of this community for years to come!

The Technician Dojo is by far the MOST advanced and cutting edge martial arts school I have EVER come across. As a lifelong martial artist myself, I can confidently say that the real life self defense training that is taught, by far surpasses ANY expectations I may have had beforehand. Master Hatfield is a TRUE martial artist that refuses to sugarcoat and tells it like it is. His compassion for his students and the love he has for the arts is truly admirable. The skills he has perfected during his lifelong journey are proven to be effective and unique to his style. After watching from the sidelines, I decided to give the women’s self-defense class a try. The class offers practical, hands-on techniques that can be applied in real-life situations.
