To be honest, I was looking for a place to relieve a lot of pent up aggression and direct my anger ( I wanted to punch something) coming from a different fighting background I didn’t know what to expect. What I found is me rekindling my joy for Martial Arts all over again! This being my second class, Jose is an amazing and practical teacher. I’m grateful I’m here and became Apart of Western Lotus Athletics Family.

This is such a fun and unique place to study martial arts! The environment is able to be relaxed and fun without compromising being serious about Wing Chun. The instructors clearly love teaching, and have a lot of respect for their students as well as their craft. Even as an adult beginner coming into a class of people who have been training for quite awhile, I felt welcomed right away, and I think everyone that trains there feels the same sense of inclusion. So whether you're trying to learn self defense, have a passion for Wing Chun, or even just want a fun way to get in shape, I highly recommend checking out Western Lotus!

Great instructor! I have learned so much in my first 6 weeks and I am doing things that I never thought I would be able too. The atmosphere is encouraging and the other students made me feel immediately welcome. I highly suggest you come for a free class and join us!

Taking the step to sign up at Western Lotus has been one of the best decisions of my life. I’ve been able to train at one of the few Kung Fu schools that takes a real, practical approach to self-defense, which in turn has given me more confidence in my everyday life. Training here has also been a vehicle for me to improve my general athleticism and physical fitness. As someone born with a congenital heart disease, I used to be known for being clumsy and uncoordinated. But training Kung Fu and using the gym equipment at Western Lotus has helped me become stronger, more coordinated, and able to do things I used to think weren’t even possible. But perhaps most importantly, I’ve met an amazing group of friends through Kung Fu. Sifu Jose is a fantastic instructor who teaches Wing Tsun in great detail, while also keeping a welcoming, relaxed environment. It’s not an exaggeration to say that being able to focus on Kung Fu and train with my friends at this school has helped me get past rough moments in life, and has improved my life in every facet.

So far, I have loved my time learning Wing Chun at Western Lotus Athletics. The instructor is super nice and patient with beginners, and you can tell he is passionate and knowledgeable about Wing Chun and Martial Arts in general. And as I've attended more classes, it's also clear that what's being taught is legitimate, with real explanations for the practical application of the techniques learned in class. Whether you're wanting to learn a martial art that's practical for fighting, or to take up an activity that exercises your body and mind, and leaves you feeling great after each class, this is the place to check out. Seriously, after each class I feel refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the day.
