Spherical Martial Arts

I started Spherical Martial Arts about a year ago at the end of February, originally just looking for a fun way to get some exercise in. They offered a free first week, so it felt like a low-risk way to try something new. But after my very first class, I knew I was all in. What I didn’t expect was how much this would impact me beyond just fitness. I came in also wanting to learn self-defense due to a past abusive relationship, and over time, this class has helped me build not only physical strength but confidence and healing as well. I’ve learned techniques I never thought I’d be able to do—especially escape techniques and elements of Hapkido—but what has stood out the most is learning how to stay calm in high-pressure situations. I’m not perfect at it, but I’ve come such a long way. Instead of panicking, I can breathe, think, and respond more effectively. The environment here is incredible. Everyone is so kind, patient, and understanding. They truly meet you where you are. Whether you’re brand new, nervous, or working through something personal, there is zero judgment. Your training partners go at your pace, and if you ever need to step back, take a break, or just observe, that’s completely respected. I’ve now been going for a year and earned my orange belt, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. If you’re even slightly considering trying it, I highly recommend taking advantage of the free first week. There’s no pressure, no judgment—just a chance to see what you’re capable of.

This school has changed our lives! They have helped my son grow in confidence and in person so much. I have seen so much difference in him since joining this school. My son is eleven years old and has had a very hard and traumatic past with school and with past mistakes from family still trying to learn how to be parents. Since going here he has grown in confidence and it has brought out his personality so much! I am so proud of him and it is this coach and his family who has done this for him. He listens and is very supportive of his students he knows how too teach with both patience and discipline which is something not very many people in this world know how to do. I would highly recommend this school to anyone with a child troubled or not that needs something to get their confidence out or if you need something to help them get going with grades or even home life. Because since joining my son now dies dishes, helps with his brother and keeps his room clean, he works hard in his grades and it's all so he can word twords that next belt. The coach is compassionate about what he does and is always willing to listen and understand when your going through something hard in your life. They become family in the blink of an eye. So give it a try! I have seen the most meek kids become the most confident little fighters and have seen the most aggressive kids become the most patient. Always a proud momma
