My three children have learned so much about self control, self regulation, and critical thinking from these wonderful coaches. They are not just teaching self defense; they are offering a gift of self discovery, growth, and confidence. My children often struggle with understanding their peers or being understood by their peers - but ever since we started at Virtue, we have seen calmer, more thoughful children. I can not praise Coach Brentli and Coach Emma enough.

I've trained in a few gyms in the OKC area over my years, and while training at Virtue I've gotten to see what the curriculum and atmosphere is like after wanting to start back up again as a lowly white belt. The coach-to-student ratio is way better than other gyms I have trained at, and the training itself is really conducive to a low-risk and healthy way to train. BJJ will always be tough and demand a lot from your body, but the training was tuned for folks to get more one-on-one time with a higher belt and less risk. I was honestly going to go roll/train for a quick moment and gave myself the freedom to just quit again if it still wasn't a good fit, but this is definitely bringing me back and getting me excited to do something other than running for cardio again. Fun stuff, safer than some other gyms, and coach Brentli is the nicest guy! If I had to recommend a single gym for _starting_ BJJ, this would be it without question.

Coach Brenti Cook gave me private lessons when I was getting started in BJJ. I had taken a few classes at a couple of different schools before deciding to pursue these lessons, and I’m super lucky i did. Jiu-jitsu can feel like you’re being tossed into an ocean of new info, and it can be overwhelming trying to get the ball rolling. This is where Brentli was incredibly helpful. He breaks down concepts into their most basic components, and continues to break them down until they reach the level where it “clicks” for you. He taught me foundational principles that really helped give me context about what i was learning and why, and then helped me build a strategy for how to build my long-term game from there, based on my own individual strengths and weaknesses. When I learned Brentli was going to open his own school for kids, I knew it was a huge win for the whole OKC community, and I had to take the opportunity to promote the school to anyone that would listen. In my opinion, no one is better at connecting with you WHERE YOU’RE AT, and taking you to the next level. If you’re looking for a school to that will get your child excited to go to class everyday, look no further. He’s great at bringing the inner-gamer out of all of us, and the game he plays first and foremost is virtue. This young man has done his homework, and if you’re interested in introducing a positive role model into your child’s life as they enter the universe of combat sports, I believe you simply will not find a superior option to Virtue Kids!
