Andy Hung and Dojo Outfitters are absolute gems. I’ve bought a ton of gear there over the years, from fantastic no-gi pieces to gis, and the selection is always outstanding. Andy somehow manages to carry exactly what you’re looking for, often at very reasonable prices, and he’s incredibly helpful without ever being pushy. What really sets Andy apart, though, is how he treats people. He genuinely takes care of his customers and is consistently kind, patient, and generous with his time and knowledge. You get the sense immediately that he cares about the community, not just the sale. I’ve also taken several private lessons with Andy at Dojo Outfitters, and he is an exceptional teacher. His instruction is clear, thoughtful, and highly effective, whether you’re focused on judo, BJJ, or both. Anyone serious about developing their skills would be very well advised to spend time learning from him. The private lessons are absolutely worth the money. Dojo Outfitters is the kind of place, and Andy is the kind of person, that makes training better in every way.

Dojo Outfitters is a gem for both the local and global Jiu Jitsu/Judo communities. Their original designs are the freshest in the industry and their shop offers the best in grappling apparel. They also promote seminars from world class competitors and instructors who come to the Portland metro area. I'm not from Portland but I stop by the shop any time I'm there. The staff is very congenial and I always find myself buying something and engaging in a great conversation.

Please don't hesitate to go or shop online if you are in need of jiu-jitsu or JUDO gear. It was very welcoming and a cool place. We made a quick trip to visit family and stopped off here to see the selection and we were pleasantly surprised. Forget ordering elsewhere, they pretty much had everything we needed, in store. Will be back!

Amazing experience!! I heard about this shop from a few other jiu-jitsu players at our gym and had to see for myself. I wasn’t disappointed!! I got my son 3 no go sets and he loves them!! I got 3 gi’s for myself and they fit me perfectly! I’m so excited for my purchases and have gotten so many compliments. We are already planning a girls trip back to the shop!!
