Just started back up in Judo after many, many years lapsed. Very happy I found PRMAA. The facility is top notch, the instructors work you hard but always with a kind heart and there is a very diverse student base (from novices to advanced). Have both my kids enrolled and the kids class is just as good. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of starting up.

My family has been studying martial arts for many years this is the best school we have attended. My daughter has been training here for 2 years and my son recently started training and they both absolutely love it. The instructors are so amazing they not only teach the physical aspects of martial arts but the mental and emotional aspects as well. It has definitely been wonderful for them to learn respect for themselves and others. I highly recommend training at Pacific Rim. You will not be disappointed.

We found Pacific Rim Martial Arts Academy about a year ago and could not be happier. Fantastic all around experience! Great instructors, the perfect balance of discipline and a nurturing environment. They bring in international instructors to supplement and enhance the school throughout the year too. We would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in martial arts.

Both my kids are taking Judo (4 and 6 yo). Now 7 and 9. Prior to PRMAA ,we went to a few other Martial Arts schools in town, we weren't 100% happy with any of them. Mr Martyn and Chonggi are outstanding with the kids. Very patient, they encourage ,they praise ,they teach the right way. The dojo is very clean and spacious. The kids have fun,exercise and learn at the same time. It's helped a lot with my son's behavior as well. So glad we found this amazing academy.

Cannot say enough good about this dojo. I've trained with 6 different instructors and they are all fantastic. Very humble and respectful and able to provide clear instruction on fundamental technique. The dojo space is very clean and well organized - and spacious; the mats are perfect and easy to train on. Great students too - no ego at this school. I joined judo just before covid took off, then hapkido later on. They immediately set up online classes during covid, and they provide a very helpful set of videos with your online account that correspond to the belt progression. I always look forward to training here.
