Our son is lucky to train here. First class group of coaches (vet owned, black belt Coach Ben) that know Jiu jitsu, know the kids and love their job. This is a gym and program I wish we would have found earlier. Highly recommend for adults and kids alike. Homeschool parents can easily submit invoices for reimbursement though several of the Oregon charter schools that have stipends for athletics and gym memberships. Get in here and you'll be amazed at how well rounded your kid becomes!

War Sports Collective is so much more than a gym. Their resilience building culture is something you can feel the moment you walk through the door. The coaches teach real-life bully-proof tools and help kids build strength, confidence, and respect. The community is welcoming to kids, adults—everyone. Truly the best program in Portland.

I had a chance to watch the kids class when I picked up my grandchildren. I was impressed with the effort the kids made to learn and practice the moves and the fact that there was no disrespect or bullying shown. They all seemed to be having a fun time. I have recently learned that for home schooled kids these classes count for PE credit and the stipends can be used to pay the membership. Win, Win! It appears to be a very family friendly community.

I had a chance to drop in and train a few times while I was in town to visit family. I immediately felt welcomed by everyone, the facility was clean, the training partners were great, and the culture and atmosphere was very inviting! I will definitely be stopping by again when I’m back in town. If you, or anyone you know is interested in trying out Jiu Jitsu, I would highly recommend War Sports Collective!

Great gym with the best environment to learn BJJ. Wide variety of times for class schedules, one will find almost any time in the day to go. Coach Ben is an elite level Jiu Jitsu artist. Many will enter the gym with little or no experience and over time be winning competitions. Strength and conditioning classes can be offered at a personal level. If you are looking to improve physical fitness this will charge you a fraction of the amount a personal trainer would charge you and they do all the same things: tailored workouts, catered POL (Progressive over-load), personalized weight amounts a gym with up to date equipment. Incredibly knowledgeable staff when it comes to physical fitness, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, self-defense and all things health related.
