Extreme Karate, keeping in mind that your 5-year-old son is learning discipline there: Extreme Karate: Building Discipline and More for Young Learners Extreme Karate lives up to its name by offering an energetic and engaging environment. While the "extreme" might suggest intense physical training, for younger students like my 5-year-old son, the focus is also strongly on instilling valuable life skills, particularly discipline. From what I've observed, the instructors at Extreme Karate are skilled at working with young children. They create a structured yet fun learning environment that captures their attention and encourages them to follow instructions. The classes seem well-organized, providing a framework for learning the fundamentals of karate while simultaneously teaching essential disciplinary skills like respect, focus, and patience. It's been wonderful to see my son develop a greater sense of discipline since starting at Extreme Karate. He's learning the importance of listening, waiting his turn, and persevering even when things are challenging. The positive reinforcement provided by the instructors is also a great motivator for the young students. While I haven't personally participated in the adult classes, the emphasis on discipline in the younger program suggests a studio that values structure and respect for all its students. If you're looking for a karate program that not only introduces your child to martial arts but also helps them build crucial life skills like discipline in a positive and engaging way, Extreme Karate is definitely worth considering. Overall, Extreme Karate appears to be a positive and well-structured environment for young children to learn karate and develop valuable discipline.

I will start out with the caveat that I rarely write reviews but this time I felt really compelled to express the phenomenal experience we’ve had at Extreme Karate. We signed our daughter up last summer, initially just something fun for her to do. However, based on the structure and routine of the program there we quickly realized that it was going to be a fixture in our lives. Our daughter was having fun while learning critical life skills. They teach students how to exhibit self control, how to remain focus and just as important, listening skills, through following directions. I also love that the program is inclusive, individuals with disabilities such as autism have a safe and nurturing place there to learn life and social skills. To top it off, they’re fantastic with the kids! My husband and I are truly happy and can safely say our daughter will be enrolled there for the foreseeable future.

We love Extreme Karate. Dennis and his team are so welcoming to all families. Not only are karate basics taught, but Dennis and other instructors teach valuable life lessons like discipline, responsibility, and hard work. The junior Shihans are wonderful as well and work so nicely with kids of all ages. It’s a really beautiful and clean facility, too! We are very happy at Extreme Karate.

My son began his karate journey when he had just turned 3 years old. He has been attending classes at extreme 3 days a week consistently. Dennis, Steve, Joe and Ryan have all been excellent with their help and guidance over the years. My son is almost 5 now and absolutely looks forward to his classes. They are very structured yet make the classes fun and engaging. We’ve also done one of our birthday parties at extreme and it went perfectly with only great feedback from the attendees. I’d happily recommend Extreme karate to anyone looking for a place to begin or continue their martial arts journey.
