This is a great group to join. Lots of different experience levels in the same room. Guys that haven’t wrestled in over 20-30 years to guys who just finished a couple years ago. Very supportive group as a whole. John does a good job teaching technique and then allowing you to apply it in open wrestling time. He also brings in former Olympic champs and NCAA and world champs for special training classes. This is a wonderful thing to have in the LV

I joined Mat Return 2 years ago at age 57.5 years. It had been 43 years since I was last on a wrestling mat. I had my right hip replaced in 2014 and have had no problems with my hip on the mat. I had my left hip replaced this week (July 2025) and I am looking forward to returning to the mat once I am cleared. All the men and women who train at Mat Return are very friendly and helpful. Everyone supports every other person in their quest to be successful. Practices are comprised of technique review and practice and then live wrestling. There are also opportunities to enter into tournaments. So, if you are an old guy like me, and you miss the sport or want to try the sport, come on over it's a good time. If you're younger and miss high school and/or college wrestling don't wait 43 years to get back on the mat.

What a great opportunity John has presented to both new and old wrestlers alike. Coaching is clearly a passion of his and his goal is to better everyone in the room. Clean facility and very well organized! Looking forward to the next meeting

Heard about this place through a friend. Had been itching for a long time to get back into wrestling as an adult. Wanted it to be a good mix of competitive and casual where you want to get better and compete but also want to have fun too. This place is the perfect mix of just that. John does an amazing job teaching all different moves and scenarios to both the advanced and beginner level. Very well structured. You really get to break a nice sweat too. It’s a great workout and a fun time. If your looking to get back into wrestling or even if you’re looking to just get into wrestling all together, this is the place to start. They also have clinics where they bring in very well known collegiate level wrestlers as well. A great time and a great guy who runs it. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
