Spear Jiu-Jitsu is a great school. Professor Noah Spear and his whole staff are not only warm and inviting, but also focused on giving you a safe, but serious, jiu-jitsu education with an emphasis on self defense. Take advantage of the free trial.

We’re a neurodivergent family, and this dojo has been a true haven for us. Both my sons and my husband train here, and the sense of community is just as powerful as the skills they’re building. The owners are genuinely kind, inclusive people who create an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and challenged in the best way.

A buddy and I, both purple belts, dropped in for a class. Lisa made the process smooth. We were checked in and ready to go before arrival. Professor Noah welcomed us to class and introduced the members. Warm up drills were fast paced and got us ready to work. Specific training was progressive and lead right into live rounds. The team members were all welcoming. Lots of high energy rolls with solid and precise technique. After class, the guys were extremely friendly. 100% positive experience. I’m sure I’ll be going back in the future.

I am training at a different school that unfortunately suffered flood damage right before Christmas. I reached out to Spear BJJ because my coach spoke highly of Professor Noah and his school. I explained my situation and Lisa not only welcomed me to come train at their school, but extended the same courtesy to other currently displaced members who needed a temporary home. I had the pleasure of attending a Thursday night class. Instruction was fantastic. The culture that Professor Noah and Lisa have created stands out. While everyone trains hard, everyone was gracious and welcomed me and my training partner. It is obvious that Spear BJJ take their commitment to a welcoming and inclusive culture as serious as their Jiu Jitsu training. Additionally, the facility is IMMACULATELY maintained, with changing areas, clean restrooms, and showers. If you are looking to start training in Jiu Jitsu, get back to training Jiu Jitsu, or are looking for a change in schools, I’d highly suggest visiting Spear BJJ.
