Mayo Quanchi Judo and Wrestling was more than just a gym to me—it was a home. I was a broke kid with very little, and they welcomed me in, supported me, and taught me wrestling and judo with patience and care. My son Grew up here made his best friend here traveled around the world with mayo quanchi not only is serge and the other Sensei’s amazing people there great role models they care for the kids. My son has been doing judo Since he was five years old serge has helped him get Through some tough times in school some tough things in life Mayo is a family place yes we see are kids get yelled at on the mat and yes we see are kids also get guided and loved Let’s talk about the elephant in the room (the one star ) I’m sorry you feel this way us open is a big one I invite you or who ever think harsh of mayo to come to a camp To visit to see how it is I assure you will not think that way it’s all love ❤️

When we left North Carolina I was worried about finding a good wrestling club, I called around the state and every coach said go to Mayo Quanchi, they go year round , so I had my son show up for his first week of training , and I could see right away this was the place for him, 5 and a half years later we’re still part of the MQ family , reason I call it a family is because no matter what MQ is there for you and your kids , Sensei Serge and his wife , day in and day out help everyone they can , ive never been part of an amazing club like MQ . Both my son and daughter train there every day. If your looking for the best family to be part of , look no further than Mayo Quanchi. Sensei Serge and his coaching staff are top notch and world class professionals, the first day my family walked into MQ we were greeted with hugs and hand shakes , all I can say is MQ for life , to this day everyone is greeted with hugs and hand shakes. We met Sensei Serge at a tournament in 2015. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge and coaching style. Later that year, he invited us to Mayo Quanchi for training. My daughter Ashley loved the intense work outs and connected with Sensei Serge right away. Over the next 2 plus years, we traveled from Chicago to Rhode Island many times to train, and January in 2018 we moved to Rhode Island so Ashley could train there full time. This is not just a Judo/wrestling club. It’s a family. Serge and his wife Elizabeth have helped us immeasurably in making this transition, and I can go on for ever about all of the members and coaches who have helped us and invested in my daughter. When people say it takes a village, I could not agree more. We love this club. We love this family. #MQ4LIFE ♥️
