Dragon K Martial Arts

As both a parent of a student (Taekwondo) and a student myself (Judo) I can say that I am absolutely thrilled with my experience at Dragon K. Master Kwon is an exceptionally gifted teacher. With the kids he is especially patient in their beginning but as they grow he holds them more and more accountable which helps promote discipline. My son has grown in physical confidence which translates to mental confidence as well. With adults, particularly in Judo, we have fostered a culture of safety first but also respect and growth. We build on the fundamentals and we each are developing our own judo styles tailored to our strengths. Master Kwon is once again a phenomenal teacher and I’m looking forward to practicing with my son as well.

I had a great experience training at Dragon K Martial Arts. I practiced Judo there, and Master Kwon is a truly wonderful instructor. He is very patient, supportive, and genuinely cares about helping his students improve. I’m grateful for his guidance and highly recommend this school to anyone looking to grow in mindset of life and martial arts.

My daughter has been taking classes here since she was 2.5 years old, she is 5 now. I have recently signed up my niece, who is 5.5 years old for Tae Kwo Do. I feel like I need to let others know about this awesome place, especially for the little ones. The class provides physical activity, discipline but still having fun. Lessons are well structured and very adaptable to kids at all levels. What I like the most is the students who ranking higher assisting in teaching. They are well discipline kids, that are role models for little one yet so loving and gentle. Master also has a way to lead the class in the way that instead of competing, they also feel encourage from their classmates and look up to each others. I also get a chance to get to know some great parents. Plenty of rooms, chairs/ bench for parents to lounge and watch. There is Changing room, well maintenance restroom, plenty of parking, easy to get in and out.

Master Kwon is the best martial arts instructor in middle TN! He is patient and really cares about his students. I am almost 55 years old and have taken martial arts off and on since the early 1990s. Master Kwon is by far the best instructor I’ve ever had. My experience under him has expanded from taekwondo to judo. I have really grown and developed under him. Come by his dojang and take a class. See for yourself the difference!
