The Academy

I Jason the owner of Academy through my coach when I moved to Nashville and I train with them some Sundays during open mat. Jason and their entire team made me feel welcomed and a part of the crew. Such a great facility and have an awesome pro shop as well as a recovery facility on site. I truly enjoy getting down with them. If you’re looking for a place in millersville area this is the place you want to go. They offer other classes too. Just go in ready to become a part of something great. I’m thankful to train with them when I can.

I arrived at the Academy in 2016 after I had moved in from out of town. I had been training JiuJitsu for eight years when I arrived and was looking for a place that had exceptional instruction and a family friendly atmosphere. The academy exceeded my expectations in both of those areas. I’ve achieved, and exceeded, what I thought was possible for me in JiuJitsu because of the coaches and training partners at the Academy. More important than that I been accepted into a community that’s produced life long friends that are like family to not only myself, but my entire family. It’s truly a special place full of exceptional people. I can not recommend the Academy high enough to anyone that is looking to better themselves physically or mentally.

I did a drop-in today for open mat and had a great experience. Before even opening the door, I was greeted and welcomed by one of the associates of the gym, named David. He introduced me and showed me around the gym. Everyone was very friendly and there were lots of different experience levels on the mat. I felt very safe and lots of team members there were willing to help me with my technique. I had a great experience and would definitely come back again!

This is the best place to train. My kids and myself have found Professor Jason and the staff to be both knowledgeable and personable. I feel that they care that we are actually learning the techniques. If you’re looking for a real legit place to learn this is it. If you’re looking for a place that hands out belts because you paid your membership even if you haven’t learned anything this isn’t the place for you. This is a real martial arts school that produces real results.

I was always nervous getting into combat sports and granted I’m going into my 4th night participating, the people there make me feel like I’ve been going for years. Everyone’s so open and understanding to the new guys/girls. Overall it’s a great atmosphere for me, I enjoy the teachings, the learning, and even the hard slams with the guys twice my size choking the life outta me. Even if I quit today I’d still recommend this gym to someone nervous about combat sports. 🙌🏻
