reviewsWhat Members Say

Members consistently praise the welcoming staff and quality coaching, noting that trainers provide helpful technique feedback and create enjoyable, challenging workouts suitable for all experience levels. However, multiple reviewers report serious management issues including billing problems, poor communication, and delayed refunds, with one member describing months of frustration over unauthorized charges. Facility maintenance concerns also surface, with reports of extended bathroom closures raising hygiene questions. While many enjoy the training experience, some note inconsistent coaching approaches where certain trainers may not accommodate different fitness levels or hydration needs during intense sessions.

The staff is so welcoming and fun!! I know each time I go for a class that I’ll not only get a great work out, but I’ll learn better technique. The coaches make sure to come around and kindly critique/help if you’re having trouble with something as well. You can tell they enjoy what they do and put a lot of time and energy into it. I highly recommend Title East!

Update: I have been approached by Title staff about my original review (which I’m leaving intact below) so I would like to clarify my points. I was attending Title 3 times a week through the end of June to mid-August. Almost every trainer was supportive and taught an all levels class. Then I got two who did not. In one class, I got the bag the wrong way and hurt my arm. I stopped and started shaking it off and was told by the trainer “no breaks.” The second is detailed below when to the entire class (while wearing a microphone) the trainer chastised a member for stopping to get water. The reason I made my original post is because when I brought these concerns to the manager, I was dismissed. The argument in regards to the water incident was that the trainer knew the person and was teasing them. My response was that I understood but the comment was made publicly in front of people who didn’t have the context. If management had acknowledged my concern then I wouldn’t feel the way I do about this gym and I would not have posted the below. I would like also to note that after I posted the below review I started being charged cancellation fees when I previously had not. I found that interesting. I’ve been attending regularly for a month. I’m not a boxer. I’m a newbie with an interest … I find that the workout and enjoyment vary by instructor. As a newbie (and middle aged human) sometimes I hurt myself. There are a few trainers who recognize this and adjust. There are others that accuse you of getting tired and giving up. I actually heard a trainer today tell a guy who stopped for a sip of water that he should’ve drank water before the class. The “professional” fighters who train at this gym will be the reason I leave.

As a loyal member of Title Boxing Nashville for many years, I find the current state of the gym disappointing. The bathrooms have been out of order for the past five days, and my inquiries have not lead to a clear explanation or timeline for resolution. This is a serious failure of basic facility maintenance. Members and employees sweat and hydrate and need access to restrooms. There is no place to wash or use the facilities -- this raises serious hygiene issues. A gym that can't maintain basic amenities reflects poorly on its management. It sends a message that member's and employee's comfort and health are not a priority. Until this is addressed, I cannot recommend attending classes or working out at Title Boxing East. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and restores the facility to the standard members deserve.

Probably one of the most disorganized and poorly managed fitness businesses I’ve ever been to. I was doing boxing privates with Tyler (he was great) once a week, which has its own price separate from the gym, and randomly, out of the blue, they started charging me an extra $120 a month without my consent, without a contract, without literally anything, and with zero notice, so I didn’t notice it until about six months had passed. When I called the locations, I would routinely be put through to the church street location, which, at the time, said they were having phone problems (remember what I said about it being poorly managed and disorganized, what business doesn’t have working phones for a month?). That excuse didn’t even matter, as I emailed them multiple times and got no response, and finally, I just walked in there and asked to speak with someone and whoever I spoke to told me they would make sure to pay me back for the six months they’d been charging me by check in the mail. That never came. I called them once again, emailed, got no response, and went back in, and again I was told I’d get refunded for some of it to my account because they can only do refunds up to a certain amount, and then they’d send the rest in the mail. I got some of the refund, but I still got no check in the mail. I continued to call and pester them and I think I got a check eventually, but it wasn’t for the total amount, and eventually, after months, literal months, of this back and forth, I just gave up. They still owe me money to this day, and I’m honestly amazed they’re in business! Just make sure you check your accounts!
