Members consistently praise the exceptional coaching staff, with specific trainers like Andre, Evilazio, Cory, Megin, and Jason receiving frequent recognition for their expertise and supportive approach. Many describe transformative experiences where they've lost significant weight, gained confidence, and developed real self-defense skills through the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing classes. The welcoming community atmosphere where staff know members by name and friendships develop naturally is repeatedly highlighted as a key strength. However, some members report operational concerns including overcrowding during promotional periods, equipment maintenance issues, inconsistent cleaning standards, and group classes that sometimes limit general member access during peak hours.

Before UFC Gym, I wouldn’t step foot in a gym—but they managed to hook me through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, & Kickboxing. Now, I actually look forward to gym days & have muscles I didn’t know existed! Our children love the classes too, so it’s a fun, healthy activity we enjoy together as a family. The coaches are outstanding—Andre and Evilazio, in particular, challenge you and constantly push you to do your best. UFC Gym BJJ/Boxing/Kickboxing classes changed my view on fitness: I’ve grown stronger, more confident, and picked up real self-defense skills along the way. The staff makes an effort to know you by name, which creates a welcoming atmosphere. Plus, you naturally build friendships with the people you train with, so it feels more like hanging out with friends than just working out. You’ll be amazed at what you’re capable of here.

I’ve been a member at UFC Gym for over a year, and joining this gym honestly changed my life. When I started, I was severely overweight and hadn’t worked out in a very long time. I didn’t just find a gym here, I found a community. And that community is the reason I kept showing up on the days I didn’t feel like it. Because of that, I’m down about 80 pounds and in a completely different place physically and mentally. I want to specifically call out Cory and Megin. I don’t even train with them regularly, but the culture, energy, and standards of this gym clearly start with them. You can feel it the moment you walk in. They’re both incredibly knowledgeable, but more importantly, they genuinely care about the members and the environment they’re creating here. Most gyms would be lucky to have even one trainer like Cory or Megin. UFC is lucky enough to have both. Thank you to both of you for the impact you’ve had and to UFC gym for coming to Hendersonville. If you’re looking for more than just a place to work out, if you want a place that actually helps you change your life, this is it. Put in the work it is worth it.

Love this gym, everyone is awesome and very welcoming. Jason is the best, always on top of things helping in any way he can. Classes with Megin are the best she is the sweetest, we all love her. She’s helped me a lot these last 10 months and makes going everyday enjoyable. The kids club is also awesome they have a very nice schedule and the girls working there are the sweetest, my daughter loves them. Can’t say enough nice things about this gym love everything about it!

I’m 60, been teaching in gyms for nearly 45 years. This UFC GYM is INSANE. It has everything, and something I have never seen - an entire room dedicated to recovery! I did the cryotherapy treatment for the first time in my life. AMAZING. They also give a free 3-day trial. Ask for Mason. He gave us the grand tour. Jason Wagner is the stellar General Manager. He took the time to sit down with us to chat about career opportunities for my newly graduated son. It truly felt like a family.

You generally get what you pay for, and unfortunately this gym seems more focused on maximizing membership numbers than on the member experience. It has a lot of potential, but overcrowding and operational issues are starting to take away from what should be a great facility. I wanted to give some genuine feedback to the owners. The gym occasionally runs low-cost promotions (such as $25/month - at least once since I’ve been a member that I know of), which has led to far more members than the space and equipment can reasonably support. Of course, this is a good deal - one we’ve taken advantage of as members ourselves. As a result, unless you come during very off-peak hours (for example, Sunday late afternoons), you can expect to wait for equipment for abnormal times. It’s also common to see large groups working out together and tying up multiple machines at once. Recently a group were using two machines at once for example, usually these are younger crowds that do this. Equipment maintenance is another concern. Some machines, like the leg press and assisted pull-up, have been out of service for over a week at a time. Likely due to overuse or misuse if I were to guess. Additionally, cleaning standards seem inconsistent, sanitary wipes haven’t been restocked in weeks, and while cleaning staff are often cleaning locker rooms, the indoor turf hasn’t appeared to be cleaned since opening. Group fitness programming also impacts general members. Although there is a designated group fitness room, I’ve never seen it used for the HIIT classes. These classes often take over the entire turf area during peak hours, limiting access for others. Around 6:00 pm, a coach runs a high-intensity class that uses a large portion of the gym’s general space for warmups, and other exercises, which understandably prioritizes higher-priced memberships but significantly affects regular members during the busiest time of day. We’ve been members since last fall and initially assumed the crowds were due to the gym being new, then expected a typical New Year surge. Unfortunately, the volume has never eased and here we are again going into another surge/promo time. We’ve also experienced billing issues similar to those mentioned in other reviews. Unannounced fees, etc. In general, working with the staff to overcome these issues is a terrible experience. Ultimately, this gym could be excellent with better capacity management, attentive staff, equipment upkeep, and clearer separation between group classes and open gym access. This is why we have stayed for this long - we hoped to see changes. At this point, however, it doesn’t seem the business model is likely to change, so we’re starting to look for alternatives.
