Began practicing karate in 1990 in Romania. Teaching since 1996. Founded Austin Shotokan Karate Academy in 2008. Dedicated to teaching traditional martial arts values.

Started training in 2013. Began teaching beginners' classes in 2014. Award-winning competitor. Passionate about training and teaching all ranks and ages.

Black belt in Shotokan Karate, 3rd degree black belt in ATA Taekwon Do
Life-long martial artist. Joined dojo in 2014, earned Shotokan black belt in 2023. Passionate competitor in kata and kumite. U.S. Army veteran.
Joe Boley
Instructor (Senpai)
Black belt in Shotokan Karate, Brown belt in Shuri Ryu Karate
Trained in Taekwon Do and Shuri Ryu Karate. Joined dojo during pandemic, earned black belt in 2023. Fierce competitor and passionate instructor.

Life-long martial artist, studied multiple styles
Began training with the academy in 2022. Commissioned Officer in the Military Police. Has studied Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo Karate, Boxing, Judo, and Jiu Jitsu.
