My Son has been attending Black widow MMA over a year now. We were introduced by his school, He went once a week but we wanted him to be consistent and so we started attending after school M-F. Which he absolutely loves! I’ve seen increase his confidence . & Coach Jhonny is like a father figure to the kids. He’s supportive & also hard on the kids when they need it. 10000/10. 😊

This place is the real deal. From day one, the culture here made me feel comfortable walking in, even though Muay Thai/MMA gyms can be intimidating if you’re new. Everyone was welcoming, nobody has an ego, and it just has that feeling of a tight, supportive community. The coaching staff is incredible, super knowledgeable, great teachers, and they actually pay attention to you. They don’t just run you through drills; they make sure you’re learning, getting better, and staying safe. You can tell they genuinely care about the people in the room. And the owner? She’s awesome. Very involved, very present, and you can see the culture starts with her. She’s built a place where people of all skill levels feel like they belong. If you’ve been thinking about trying Muay Thai or MMA and keep putting it off like I did, just show up once. You’ll be glad you did. This gym is something special.

Betsabe is one of the sweetest people ever. I’m a UT student and she has graciously allowed me to train there on the off-season when school isn’t in session. I constantly share this gym because of its training and different styles. I’m a big fan of Jiu Jitsu and love Taza‘s class. I also like improving, my striking which Isn’t always my priority, but it’s amazing to see the welcoming culture and great people and partners there are to train with their. I will continue to go to Black widow because their culture is unmatched. If you have any questions or want any recommendations, feel free to text me at GabeSellsATX on Instagram. I couldn’t recommend this enough

Can’t say enough good things about this gym! I’ve been going here since May 2022 (1 year 10 months). I came in with zero previous martial arts experience feeling like Bambi on ice. In under 2 years I’ve learned the fundamentals of BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA and I’ve competed 4 times in 2 tournaments. This is an excellent gym for the well experienced and new beginners. The gym has excellent retention. It’s a no-ego-safe environment where everyone helps each other develop and improve. If this sounds like your kind of school, then I highly recommend you try a class at Black Widow.

Cannot say enough good things about this gym, the coaches, and the community. My sons, ages 10 and 12, have trained in the youth program for the last 5 months and gained so much strength in addition to the fun they've had with Coaches Johnny and Dylan. I'm grateful for the women's community class that has allowed me to start training and get to know others. There are competitive fighters and others like me who train for fun; we all take the hard work seriously and like to have fun with it, too. I definitely recommend this gym!
