We had a birthday party here and it was an amazing success. The kid's loved learning some moves and, most crucially, splitting a board! Birthday boy got to chop his cake with a sword. Dreams do come true!

I’ve been a student of tai chi for a little bit over a year at Master Gohring’s and can’t express my gratitude and appreciation for the amazing job he and his instructors give on a daily basis. The education I’ve received is thorough, inspiring and challenging me to achieve self mastery. I started with the goal of a healthier lifestyle and ended up with so much more!

Master Gohrings Tai Chi and Kung Fu has created an atmosphere welcoming for all ages and abilities. The instructors meet students where they are and have a keen ability to see each student’s individual areas of growth with ease. From building self confidence to helping young ones learn to self regulate their impulses in a group learning setting, while moving their bodies, is what has made us keep coming back! Master Gohring knows all the students and parents (families) by name and greets everyone with a smile and a hello no matter what he is working on. ! highly recommend Master Gohring’s to anyone who wants to try this all ages, all abilities activity!

I'm a plus-sized person who has never really loved exercise (beyond walking) and who has had really discouraging experiences at gyms, so I was feeling pretty nervous when I enrolled my 9-year-old daughter and I in the Family Class at Master Gohring's. However, I've felt welcome there since the minute I inquired with Head Instructor Durkin about classes. So far, the class is challenging without being daunting, and my instructor is encouraging. My daughter and I look forward to class, and find it easy to rally to go even on days when we're feeling tired. I love the way Kung Fu engages my body and my brain at the same time. The above review was from 2022, so here’s the 2025 update: My daughter and I are still students here - now in the Advanced class - and we still love it.

My experience with Tai Chi training at Master Gohring's school has been amazing. Starting with the trial period, easily got all my questions answered, welcoming experience at the classes. The instructors are thoughtful and attentive, no matter the class size. I love the mind-body integration and there's plenty of plan options if I want to learn other martial arts forms. Atmosphere is structured and fun - I highly recommend this school.
