One World Karate has helped my autistic son become more confident, focused and attentive. We have been attending classes there for the last 6 plus years, and my son recently earned his black belt. It has been truly inspiring to watch him and the other students succeed and overcome many different challenges with the help and guidance of Sayagyi Dan Carroll and his dedicated staff. I highly recommend them to anyone (Special Needs or not), who wishes to learn martial arts and the many benefits it can bring to your life.

We had our son start attending Karate with Saya Dan a year ago. After 3 or 4 months we were seeing more focusing and behaving better. At first he didn't want to go but now enjoys it. This is all because of Saya Dan. He has an amazing way of connecting with all the children and strikes a very good balance between firm and funny. In the end, the children learn not just Karate, but the focus and the discipline. He is very patient and works with each child.

My son has been attending this karate school for years and it has done wonders for him at home and at school. He has aspergers and adhd and the lessons he's received from Saya Dan over the years has taught him discipline, focus and has equipped him to succeed and thrive.

Boys have been training here for about 8 years or so now. Tonight, they've attained their black belts! Awesome school!

This is what inclusion should look like. Adjustments are made for kids individual needs, but they are also all expected to work hard and do their best. Saya Dan was very patient with my shy little guy, and got him excited about Karate. I also love the waiting room chats with other parents. I've learned a lot about parenting and Austin resources for children with disabilities just by sitting in the waiting area!
