I came to PMA Austin a bit of a lost soul. I was training Krav Maga at another location and I was happy to be there. I moved further away and tried to make the commute work but after a while I spent more time traveling than I did training. I didn't think I could find another place I would be happy at. I wandered trying out different places and trained at a friend's garage. But I was missing the community aspect. A friend recommended PMA Austin to me and said it was a great place to train. I was unsure but I did my research. I discovered the owners had the forward thinking about Krav Maga and self defense as constantly evolving. This was the training I had grown accustomed to. I saw how PMA & Krav Maga Universal was very proactive about Krav Maga with a linkage back to Israel and The Wingate Institute. That was incredibly important to me. With the encouragement of my wife, I signed up for a free class and met Jeff & Luisa. Jeff is a great instructor. He's patient but challenges me. He makes me a better practitioner. Luisa is the same motivator to me as well. The more I came back the more comfortable I started to feel. I'm ready to work my way through the KMU belt system. I continue to learn more and evolve as a Krav Maga practitioner. I am a First Responder. I highly recommend coming to PMA Austin to keep your self defense skills sharp. I'm no longer a lost soul. I have a Krav Maga home again. I have my community back. I continue to walk in peace. So what are you waiting for? Come join us!

GREAT dojo for families. My kids (7and9yo) never want to attend anything, but Coach Jeff made them feel so comfortable at the two free private classes, they were way less nervous to jump into the martial arts classes. My boys have grown in confidence and respect outside of the dojo. They love going to class. Coach Jeff is patient and kind while still setting the bar high. I'm a better mom just from watching how he handles a group of kids. My husband and I joke that it's better than therapy. My husband and I started taking adult classes after seeing how much fun the kids had. (And I haven't taken a fitness class since high school.) It has been so good for our entire family.

This school is amazing for all ages! They have a great kids program that teaches everything from safety and self-defense to focus and mental health. You get a family vibe here and the instructors care about their students and their students goals. I have been training here for 3 years in the adult program and have grown so much mentally and physically. The skills and principles we learn are made for the real world and are applicable if you were to ever get in a street fight or get attacked. What makes Premier Martial Arts different is how Jeff and Luisa teach. They not only teach us physical skills but they teach the reasons why we use those skills, how we can modify skills based on low-risk vs high-risk situations, dealing with multiple attackers or weapons, and the mindsets of attackers and how they choose victims. Basically what I am trying to say is.. their teaching is so in-depth and is invaluable! Whether you're looking to get in better shape, start up a new hobby, train for real life scenarios or build self confidence and self-image, Premier Martial Arts is the way to go.

Premier Martial Arts ATX is really an excellent school. My 9 year old son has been training here in the children's program and his experience has been extremely positive. He not only looks forward to training, but practices on his own at home. Jeff & Luisa Crow do an excellent job in total. Luisa has made us all feel incredibly welcome and does an outstanding job of communicating upcoming events and schedules. Jeff has a real gift with connecting with children and training them. He combines firmness & toughness with encouragement & understanding. My wife has noted that he really "gets" our son and his personality. If you are looking for your child to build confidence, develop some athletic skill, and ingrain some lessons that not only apply to martial arts, but daily life, this is a wonderful school to enroll them in.

We enrolled in July 2018, my sons have learned a lot and have applied their knowledge in everyday life. Jeff and Luisa Crow also extend their help beyond the mat. They try to make social events for the family and help guide the children academically as well. They are an extra ear to listen and an extra set of hands to help. As they say “it takes a village to raise children” and they are the type of individuals you want in your village. 👏👏they rock!
