I cannot say enough great things about Gracie Barra Westchase. From the moment you walk in, the energy is welcoming, professional, and motivating. The facility is clean, organized, and run with excellence. You can truly feel that this isn’t just a martial arts school, it’s a community. The standout for me is the women’s class. It’s led by a world class female instructor who is not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also an exceptional leader. She creates an environment that is empowering, safe, and challenging all at once. Her attention to detail, ability to break techniques down clearly, and genuine care for each student’s progress sets her apart. What really elevates the experience is her customer service. She takes the time to connect, answer questions, and make every woman feel seen and supported, whether you’re brand new or advanced. You never feel like just another student. You feel valued. If you’re considering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and want high level instruction in a positive and professional atmosphere, Gracie Barra Westchase is the place to train. Especially if you’re a woman looking for strong leadership, real skill development, and a community that uplifts you. Highly recommend.

I’ve been training Muay Thai with Alexis Chavarria at Gracie Barra Westchase, and it has been an incredible experience. Alexis is a phenomenal instructor who truly cares about his students’ progress. He’s highly detailed when it comes to technique and timing, breaking down each move so that even the smallest details are perfected. His dedication to the art of Muay Thai is clear in every session, and he consistently pushes us to become better fighters. If you’re looking for a coach who is passionate, skilled, and committed to your growth, Alexis is the one to train with!

I travel a ton for work and have been lucky enough to visit GB gyms across the country. While they are all great, I am truly proud to call GB Westchase my home gym. There are classes available throughout the day, so you are guaranteed to catch a class at least once a day no matter what your schedule is. (Shout out to my 6:30 AM crew.) The facility is exactly what a martial arts gym should be. It's clean, well maintained, and organized. The locker rooms have showers which is great for me, since I typically go to work straight after training. You can tell that the staff really care for the space. The instructors have honestly changed the course of my family's life for the better. We are happier and healthier because of jiu jitsu, and the credit goes entirely to the professors who teach at this gym. They are all deeply professional, dedicated, and an absolute pleasure to learn from. Prof Josh Martinez specifically has gone above and beyond for us, and his passion for the sport is infectious. My young boys love to come train, and my wife and I have become obsessed. Thank you, GB Westchase!

My review is for Muay Thai/Cardio Kick Boxing courses and the facility. I did not take BJJ or wrestling. The facility is clean and the staff are very helpful. I spent 2 years hear, first doing Muay Thai then I switched over to Cardio Kick Boxing. Muay Thai can be good if you find a class you enjoy. Some classes are very full and others are very empty. It depends on the time and who's teaching. The down side is that the evening classes have different instructors on different days, and this can get frustrating since they teach different styles. One instructor might do a more traditional muay thai style, and another would do a style that's like a hybrid with boxing. So if you want to show up daily you either show up to the earlier classes, which have a consistent instructor or you have to accept that you're going to have instructors that teach conflicting styles and just be flexible. As for the cardio kick boxing, I ended up preferring this because the instructor for that time of day is consistent, so you know what to expect from them, and I felt like I was getting a great workout from showing up to these classes. There are several different instructors, each dedicated to a different time slot, and they each have a different style of class, but all of them were keeping me on my toes and pushing me to my limits. The classes were definitely worth the money and time to improve my fitness.

Terrible experience from a customer service standpoint. Not a single coach introduced themselves. The lady coach very rude and dismissive. Absolutely ZERO coaching from any of the 3 coaches during the entire hour class. If you're not a member already, seems you'll simply be an outsider and unwelcome. Funny thing is, they didn't even give details on becoming a member... Would not recommend if you are truly looking to elevate.
