This gym is amazing! From day one, I felt welcomed by everyone. It came highly recommended, and I’m so glad I listened. Dean and the black belt instructors are fantastic—knowledgeable, supportive, and great teachers. There’s no other place I’d rather train!

I’ve been training Judo here for about 6–7 years, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The instruction is world-class — technical, thoughtful, and rooted in years of real experience. Every class has a clear purpose, whether it’s focused on refining technique or getting in solid, safe randori. The facility is outstanding. The mats are real tatami, and the entire floor is built on a gymnastics-style sprung subfloor, which absorbs impact and makes throws much safer and more comfortable. (Did I mention the floor is amazing?) Classes are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus Saturday early afternoons, and the training environment is always positive and welcoming. This school is a staple in the Houston Judo community, and consistently attracts both newcomers and seasoned judoka who want high-quality training. If you’re looking for serious instruction in a fantastic facility, you won’t regret checking this place out.

The training here is top notch, and they have the best mats in the houston area. The whole floor is built on gymnastics springs so it is like falling on a cloud. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area!

This place is awesome! The instructors are easy to follow and offer personal help. As a white belt, i appreciate the extra help and focus that the instructors offer. On top of that, the guys who roll here are great! No one is on an ego trip. Highly recommend this gym!

Enrolled my kids at the beginning of last summer in the jujitsu here, they are patient with the children and take the time to make sure everyone is learning the moves for the day. Children enjoy it because they add games and fun activities that get them to exercise with out noticing. I ended up enrolling in the adult class and enjoy it very much. Wish I could have found jujitsu at a younger age! I have heard from fellow classmates that have tried other gyms , that it’s much harder to start new because higher belts take advantage, I have found here it’s like a brotherhood that takes the time to teach what they are passionate about . Instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable.
