I was in Houston over the weekend and showed up for the open mat. Everybody is really nice and there is people from all levels. I didn’t have my gi on me but it was no problem as some people took of their gi’s to roll with me. Amazing experience.

I had the chance to train here for a couple weeks even having to drive a long way from my house but I have to say it was worth the drive. Ed is a great instructor not only when training the adult class but also got a chance to see how great he is with kids. He kept them engaged and entertained the whole class. So if you are looking fir a place for your self or to take your kids, look no further, this is a Great place to train Brazilian Jiujutsu!

Great group of athletes, who want to establish community. Was traveling through Houston and came across inspire. It’s rare when an outside gym can match the culture of your home gym, everyone is very technical and violent while simultaneously showing generosity and kindness. Community will pause and ask how you got into position or how you avoided a position after a round. It’s amazing to see the toxic jujitsu culture dying out and seeing a wave of people who just want community and hard rounds.

I dropped in for an open mat at Inspire Jiu Jitsu and was met with warmth and challenge in equal measure. Professor Ed Ramos runs a gym marked by discipline and generosity, his students respectful yet unyielding in their rolls. Opportunities to train under a world champion in Houston are scarce; this is one such place. On these mats there is no disguise. Every exchange is a reckoning, every roll a testament. The struggle is honest, the fellowship after unfeigned. If you dwell nearby, consider this your summons.

Great place, great jiu jitsu, and great people. The technique is top notch, everyone is friendly, the mats are sprung, and they even have a shower.
